@jamesinealing Although we also have several instances where a catalogue or record was photocopied and archived and it's survived, whereas the digital copies are long gone.

@jamesinealing It's coming up as a real issue. I"ve come across two cases recently where staff carefully managed museum records so they could be carried over to another institution, and then the data was lost / dumped. And another where the complete inventory was skipped.
