I resigned from the BMA RDC. I can't, in good conscious, recommend this deal to the membership when I voted no at a committee level. This isnt FPR. The offer should be neutral. It would be hypocritical to tell members to accept the deal when I may possibly reject the deal.

All doctors are asking for is an extra 5 pounds per hour and the strikes will be called off immediately. Our door is always open, all the government have to do is give us a credible offer and we will call off the strikes immediately.
Doctors are only asking to be paid £20 per hour as a starting point.

I'm pretty annoyed about this deal as well. As someone who was on the committee, I know it could have been better. For the sake of unity, we should respect the result, and hopefully the new committee can regain the momentum next year. I'll support them along the way.

As the former chair of Severn, I've organised pickets , spoke to media on our cause, attended rallies, and successfully pushed against PA adverts replacing doctors in the region. Please vote for the endorsed committee to continue our good work.

Doctors know the truth. The public know the truth. The truth is, doctors are undervalued and the best metric of value is FPR which is 5£ a hour spread out over a few years.
The public get it.
Paying doctors £5 more an hour to end the strikes is just common sense.

An extra 5 pound per hour is all that is needed for these strikes to end. Our door is always open for negotiations, all we need is a credible offer from this government and strikes will be called off today.

This is an example of the mayor getting on with it and discussing with the union while strikes dates are announced, as it should be.
This government is choosing not to negotiate with doctors with this unreasonable hardline policy of asking to cancel strikes first.
NEW: This week’s tube strikes have now been suspended.
Londoners and visitors to our city will no longer face several days of disruption.
This shows what can be achieved by engaging with trade unions and transport staff rather than working against them.

PAs must work under a clear and defined scope of practice to ensure patients are not put at risk by acting outside of their scope of competence, which has been the case in the past.
This is excellent national guidance by the BMA and a step towards the right direction.
"Patients must know who is treating them and the skills and abilities that clinician has."

Trusts truly showing their true colors and how they feel towards doctors... unacceptable to take double deductions before the strikes even happened.

Yes that's right. There was no added money, but the deal was objectively better for the consultants. They may not add new money, but they can improve on the deal, and find money from pre-existing sources.
