I resigned from the BMA RDC. I can't, in good conscious, recommend this deal to the membership when I voted no at a committee level. This isnt FPR. The offer should be neutral. It would be hypocritical to tell members to accept the deal when I may possibly reject the deal.

As someone who was in the national RDC committee, I'm voting NO. You're essentially voting on 4.05% and losing the rate card. You'll still be getting 17% if rejected. We risk losing momentum as the gov can offer CPI +1% In 24/25 to hamper our reballot in April. Reject & reballot.

Here is why the wage price spiral does NOT apply to the public sector. 1. The NHS does not have any goods or services to offer like a private company- it is funded by government. 2. Inflation at present is due to supply push inflation rather than demand pull inflation.

Now is the time to make your voice heard and root out the corruption that existed previously in the BMA. We are now democratic and can vote for people in divisions, which is why it is absolutely crucial to vote for DV endorsed candidates to restore the BMA to be a worthy union.

In conclusion, the government is misleading the public by saying that doctor strikes will lead to more inflation. The Government has failed considerably. Full pay restoration will NOT cause a wage price spiral.

3.Demand pull inflation involves more cash in the economy to spend on goods and service, thus increasing demand and price. This is not the case here. 4. Inflation at present can be explained with the war between Russia and Ukraine, hence most inflation being food and energy.

If conditions were restored to 2008 levels in terms of pay, training numbers, and working conditions, then yes, the NHS is a great place to work in. The way things are looking and the state of decay the NHS is experiencing, I'd recommend students applying elsewhere.

5. Brexit also has an impact on inflation, particularly food inflation. Leaving the single market means more regulation and paperwork, which increases costs, which then transfers to the consumer.

@AJM2quiche4u @TheBMA I'm pretty annoyed about this deal as well. As someone who was on the committee, I know it could have been better. For the sake of unity, we should respect the result, and hopefully the new committee can regain the momentum next year. I'll support them along the way.

Is this how you want to operate as a trust @StGeorgesTrust @TotterdellJac Are trusts trying to mislead employees that they cannot legally strike if they aren’t part of the BMA or HCSA? This is misrepresenting the truth and calls into question the integrity of your organisation.
