@XintongWan @apfel_lab @CraigCR @mvdelius @ismsc2021 Thanks :) We determined the binding constants by fluorescence titration. The XRD of the Aza[10]CPP suggests that the higher binding constant is possibly due to the slightly "rounder" shape. But as of now this is only a guess that has yet to be confirmed (e.g. by calculations).

@pic_tho @TeamISMSC @apfel_lab @CraigCR @mvdelius @ismsc2021 Thank you :) The presence of a metal center in the macrocyclisation is even necessary for the formation of small macrocycles. Under the same conditions without a metal center we only observed the formation of macrocycles with at least three porphyrins.

@StawskiWojtek @apfel_lab @CraigCR @mvdelius @ismsc2021 The macrocyclisation works for cobalt as well. Unfortunately I was not able to purify the cobalt macrocycle, since it seemed to decompose rapidly.
