@DidPengWin @sparkIeprincess I’ll miss DSP when he’s AHL, but he deserves to move up. We need to get him to WBS so we don’t lose him to another team. Ortiz deserves to also see AHL time as a scoring/assisting overall defenseman. He forechecks. He backchecks. He can fight. Sounds like what both Pens need

@DidPengWin @sparkIeprincess Honestly, I think we have a pretty good pool of forwards and defense if you include Wheeling. They need time to up their speed if they do get called up. Matty De St Palle has been on a run, Jordan Martel has what it takes. Chris Ortiz is a big body who moves the puck

@DidPengWin @sparkIeprincess He did absolutely nothing during his PTO, so he hasn’t played since November, came back, got bodied, and still looks as stiff as the one preseason game he played. He’s a good goaltender, but he really isn’t ready for a mid season start. tbh we as a farm system have too many Gs

@DidPengWin @sparkIeprincess They can throw Castor into 14-day IR, since they have unlimited spots, because there is no way they’d put Gauthier or Murashov anywhere but in net. Castor has now only won 1 out of 3 starts so far this season, and tonights win was ALMOST not a win.

@DidPengWin @sparkIeprincess We (Wheeling) need him back in net. He was like a little ball of BRICK WALL that gave us confidence. We didn’t have ti worry about stupid goals because Murashov stopped them. We haven’t been playing the same without him.

Don’t you love coming home from watching your hometown hockey team blow a 3 goal lead only to have to play fetch with your cat?

@DidPengWin @sparkIeprincess exactly. I hate at say but we already ruined/hurt Blomqvist’s development as a rookie goaltender by having him already at an NHL level. We can’t do that to Murashov too. Let him go back to Wheeling for the rest of the year, bring him to WBS next year, then consider PIT.
