FHP remembers Royston E. Walker, who died in the line of duty on August 31, 1936. Patrolman Walker died in the line of duty as a result of a gunshot. At the time of his death, Patrolman Walker was 27 years old and had served the residents of Florida for 5 months.

Marion County Traffic Alert- An earlier highway violence incident has all southbound lanes of I-75 near the 374 mile marker closed. Motorist should seek an alternate route until further notice.

I-75 SB completely blocked near Newberry Rd. 4 semi's involved in a crash. All SB traffic being diverted off the Interstate. Expect a lengthy closure. Find an alternative route.

FHP remembers William T. Bishop, who died in the line of duty on June 17, 2017. Sergeant Bishop died in the line of duty as a result of a vehicle crash. At the time of his death, Sergeant Bishop was 52 years old and had served with the Florida Highway Patrol for 30 years.

Friends & Family had some laughs & reminisced with Mst Tpr Glen Ganus who is retiring. He began his career in Law Enforcement in 1996, as a Deputy in Wakulla Co. He joined FHP in 2002 in Troop H. In 2007 he transferred to Troop B . Glen, Best of Luck & Health in retirement!

Traffic Alert Update for I-75 at the 439 mm- in Columbia & Suwannee Counties all earlier obstructed lanes have been cleared and are reopened in both directions.

Columbia / Suwannee County -Traffic Alert for I-75. FHP is on scene of an overturned tractor -trailer northbound at the 439 mm. Travel northbound is reduced to one lane. In the same area there are 10-15 trees across the southbound lanes, which is also reduced to one lane.

Alachua County- Traffic Alert Chemical clean efforts at an earlier tractor-trailer crash on I-75 near the 391 mm required all southbound traffic to be routed off the Interstate at the 399 mm (US 441 exit) Please avoid area until further notice.

FHP remembers Chelsea Richard, who died in the line of duty on May 3, 2014. Trooper Richard died in the line of duty as a result of a vehicle crash. At the time of her death, Trooper Richard was 30 years old and had served the residents of Florida for 9 years.
