The CPS has been criticised both by those who want to see more prosecutions but the first principle of justice is protection of the innocent from wrongful conviction. The CPS needs to be more open and honest with Disclosure and ensure the Police do likewise.
Following a pre-appointment hearing, we have endorsed the appointment of Anthony Rogers as Chief Inspector of HM Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate (@hmcpsi). The HMCPSI has a statutory duty to inspect the operation of @CPSUK and @UKSFO.

Great FACT conference on Saturday, with excellent speakers, @lawrencepatihis in conversation with #KevinFelstead, discussing false and (non-existent) repressed memory; and Claire Anderson from @ABVSolicitors talking about the steps she takes when someone is (falsely) accused.
