The CMIP5 and CMIP6 models project that the first September (the month with the NH sea ice minimum) with “ice-free” conditions in the Arctic (i.e., the monthly mean sea ice extent, SIE, falls below 1 million km²) will occur sometime in the 2040s, perhaps as early as the mid- to late-2030s. 🔗 But, if I had to guess, that probably will not happen either. As far as experts’ individual predictions themselves are concerned, instead of going back and reevaluating their flawed hypotheses, they just add another 5-10 years to their “ice-free” predictions and kick the can down the road in hopes that they’ll eventually be right. Maybe one day they will be, but I highly doubt it.

Doch mit CO2 nichts zu tun. Ansonsten müsste man die Treibhäuser nur mit CO2 befüllen, und bräuchte si im Winter nicht mehr beheizen. Tatsächlich erhöht man den CO2 der Luft in Treibhäuser ein, doch dies dient dazu das Pflanzenwuchs zu verbessern. Vielmehr hat dieser Klimawandel mit zwei Faktoren zu tun, auf welche der Mensch keinen Einfluss hat. Das eine ist die Sonnenaktivität. Das die Sonne im Moment sehr aktiv ist merkt man daran, dass eine grosse Zahl an Sonnenflecke auf ihrer Oberfläche sind. Zudem konnte man diesen Winter an Orten Nordlichter sehen, an denen man sonst keine zu sehen bekommt. Damit wären wir beim zweiten Faktor, die Neigung der Erdachse zur Sonne. Diese Neigung der Erdachse ist es, welche dafür sorgt, dass man in Breitengraden Nordlichter sieht, wo man sonst keine zu sehen bekommt. Doch nicht bloss die Neigung der Erdachse verändert sich, sondern auch die Form der Bahn in welcher sich die Erde um die Erde dreht. Dieses Phänomen ist in den Milanković-Zyklen genau beschrieben. Wir befinden uns derzeit auf dem Weg aus einer kleinen Eiszeit heraus. Seit einigen Jahren sind auch die Wüsten auf dem Rückzug. Der CO2 Gehalt der Luft war auch schon höher als heute. Doch aus Eisbohrkernen weiss man, das dieser höhere CO2 Gehalt immer der Erderwärmung folgt. Wäre das CO2 die Ursache, müsste es jedoch umgekehrt sein.
