@scottjwillis Realistically, Tel was the only option that could have come in. My question is, do we want him eating minutes from Nwaneri? Are we sure heās even better than Trossard? Massive wages and a huge loan fee with the potential to take away valuable playing time from our brightest.

Always amazes me how fucking dumb people are. I hate to be mean, but really. This is so stupid I am just sick of seeing it. So Arteta was gifted an FA Cup (whatever that means) and then was expected to win the title for four straight years. Yet every player weāve signed is shit? So how would he be expected to win anything if our players are shit? Wouldnāt that mean Arteta is an amazing manager? Also leaving out Rice, Gabriel, Partey, Odegaard, White, Timber, Calafiori, Raya, Trossard, Jorginho from the signed players is fucking hilarious.

You canāt have a manager pleading every 3 days that he needs help and expect to win silverware. Arteta has said the injuries have caused more injuries because the load on certain individuals. Saka is out because heās been squeezed for 2 years straight with nobody to help him. Arsenal did so well to push City the last couple of years but they needed that little bit more to get them over the line and the ownership failed Arteta this transfer window. Liverpool are relentless and even though Arsenal have been good itās not good enough. 6 points behind with one more game played with only the Champions League left to play for which I donāt realistically see us winning. Man City dropped off and we havenāt been there to capitalise so far. It feels like a massive missed opportunity. Canāt help but feel disappointed.

Yeah I think this is where my disappointment is coming from. The way these deals ended up being structured - straight loan for Tel - it did feel like it was a canāt-lose opportunity to bring in SOME help without handicapping the summer window.
I can accept not paying the money for Cunha or Watkins because you didnāt think it was the right player and wanted to get your top target, but to not even a pick up a loan like Tel, Kolo Muani or Vlahovic simply to HELP Havertz and give him a break is gross negligence. Disgusted.
