Update. Despite press releases on 6th February 2024 saying TfL have the budget to fix the four escalators this year, we still donât have a timetable. Thank you to all those whoâve signed so far! Over 3000! Public pressure continues!

Escalators broken for 6 years! And counting âŚ. â°
Couple of examples of general enshittification Escalators in Cutty Sark. A London "tube"(DLR) station will have to close to fix the escalators "Hmm. They were already repairing it when I was living there" They've been broken for 6 years see @csarkescalator

TfL not doing very well are they! What is this âgreen and fairâ package? Conditions at Cutty Sark Station are appalling & we doubt theyâll start work before the London Marathon. They havenât provided a start date! Lots of promises to improve messaging/announcements but nothing since all escalators stopped working last October.

In a London City Hall meeting this week, Claire Mann, @TfL, said âsometime this yearâ âŚâŚ And at Greenwich Council last Thursday TfLâs âCommunity Partnership Specialistâ said : âWe still canât go public. Weâre working as efficiently as we can to get that date concreteâ. We need to keep up public pressure!

It seems to be in TfL hands - they have the power but youâd think he and the Council would get behind our passenger-led campaign. Our campaigners and commuters have done fantastic work to highlight day-to-day issues that the Council canât be expected to monitor all the time. Weâre their eyes & ears!
