I actually like how they taste , and the main thing is how good of a pallet you have I can distinguish grape and region, wine and food are matched often. Not buying the Rory Sutherland take on wine. Yes there are ass hats and posers but wine can be had at very reasonable prices at home. If your dining out Chicago is 5x , london 2x , France reasonable, Copenhagen 2x. But beer and mixed drinks are 3-4 x world wide. Easiest trick is asking a wine guy at a good liquor stores likes in your price range , my guy offers options at and below most often. Most liquor store staff are drinkers and value shoppers. Also this myth that wine is forced upon you is total bs often as not we don’t have wine and just put the wine list aside.

@nntaleb Actually buy in 15 to 40 range use Vivino for ratings and follow a couple reviewers on line also talk with people at liquor stores ask what they drink they optimize for value and customer retention, what ya gonna do not drink good wine?

@EBasilion We concert dress whether in audience or stage, kids were and are in a lot of recitals. We dress up for dinner if it is a nice place too. Worth a jacket and my opera scarf for sure . The Bartok piece is my idea of complete mastery. Going to per lecture as well.

Homer should be read because he created a narrative in verse and great scholar have given us fine translation, I wanted to read Homer instead of Greek prose , my professor said if we could get three students we could have a course and he would add a course to the classics curriculum as it would be a sin to read Homer under the course code for Greek prose. (Note we got the three all chemistry majors !)
