STATEMENT ON ISSUE 1: The passing of Issue 1 is a dark stain on Ohio’s history. The installation of preborn child murder as a fundamental right in our state is an unconstitutional perversion, and a moral abomination before Almighty God, the Sovereign King of Kings, and Lawgiver. By transgressing God’s eternal and binding decree, “Do not murder,” Issue 1 is an iniquitous, and ruinous amendment which will bring more bloodguilt upon our state. End Abortion Ohio will continue to strive for the accomplishment of our goal: the legal abolition of abortion in Ohio. As Issue 1 stands in clear, and flagrant violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution, Issue 1 ought to be ignored, and regarded as null and void. We call upon our governing authorities to treat Issue 1 as such, to fulfill their duty, to protect the inalienable right to life and to provide the equal protection of the law to all human beings, both born and preborn. Any recourse which tolerates or upholds the legal murder of preborn image bearers of God, must be rejected, and spurned as unconstitutional and iniquitous. We call upon the Governor of Ohio to treat Issue 1 as null and void, to issue an executive order per the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article 1, Section 1 of the Ohio Constitution directing all agencies under his command to treat preborn human beings as people who must be provided the equal protection of the law. We call upon Ohio’s Courts to treat Issue 1 as null and void, to rightly interpret and apply the Ohio and U.S. Constitutions by ruling that preborn human beings are persons and that preborn human beings must be provided the equal protection of the law. We call upon Ohio’s legislators to treat Issue 1 as null and void, and to introduce and pass the Abolition of Abortion in Ohio Act, which would bring Ohio’s abortion law into alignment with the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution, by applying the law equally to all persons, born and preborn. The securing of justice for all persons is the duty of all our governing authorities, before God, and before our state. End Abortion Ohio will not cease to tirelessly strive towards this righteous end.

Securing equal justice for the preborn is the only way to abolish abortion and meaningfully save lives. Kristan’s refusal to support equal justice and advocacy against equal protection bills is helping to keep abortion alive. Kristan’s signature on that letter continues to prove an asset in killing bills that would abolish abortion. Kristan, remove your signature. Stop standing in the way of justice.
Actually…it’s “abolitionists” that try to blow up pro-life bills at state houses that keep more baby killing legal because it doesn’t meet your standards of ending all abortion AND imprison the second victim of abortion, mothers. You all are so hell bent and grossly fixated on punishment that you would rather see injustice prevail and pro-life laws, which will save lives, fail in order to claim you hold the moral high ground. Your ego ensures more babies will die.

"In most cases...if not all, she [the woman] is an abortion second victim." If you will not believe us when we say that the PLM is standing in the way of equal justice for all, at least believe them when they say it.
Christopher Dodson, co-director and general counsel of the North Dakota Catholic Conference, testified this morning against legislation in North Dakota that would equally protect preborn babies under the law. Speaking immediately after a Democratic state lawmaker who also opposed the bill, Dodson claimed that women are categorically second victims of abortion and that punishing abortionists is sufficient. Dodson acknowledged that women who have abortions are not "without fault," but said that "compassion, not desire to punish, should be our guide and our response to her." He referred lawmakers to a letter signed three years ago by several dozen Pro-Life establishment organizations opposing any legislation that could criminalize women who willfully choose to have abortions. Leaders of the North Dakota Catholic Conference, as well as other Pro-Life entities such as North Dakota Family Alliance Legislative Action, joined with none other than Planned Parenthood to oppose this legislation, which would simply apply the same protections that already protect born people from murder and assault to protect preborn people as well. As we have repeatedly seen in countless states, Pro-Life establishment organizations, including those which claim the name of Christ, are working alongside Planned Parenthood and other proponents of child sacrifice to keep abortion legalized in our land.
