@CampbellMurdoch Metabolic health includes thyroid conditions. PLEASE include hyper, and especially hypo. So many patients have poorly diagnosed and/or treated hypothyroidism. Levels should be optimal, not just creeping into range.

@TheEndoSociety Pity you don't sort the shambles that is UK hypothyroidism diagnosis and treatment. Hundreds of thousands of patients left very unwell. Clinicians not understanding enough, training poor, guidelines not known. Shambles.

Absolutely agree. Countless people have non diagnosed, ire poorly treated, hypothyroidism. Drs not up to speed on this. @TheLancet

@TheLancet @TheLancetEndo Who knows what % of obese people are suffering from hypothyroidism that is either not properly diagnosed, or is diagnosed but treated sub-optimally? Until we measure euthyroidism by thyroid hormone levels and symptoms and relegate the TSH people will continue to gain weight
