one of the things I consider the demarcation line between humans and monsters is the use of torture. it's a very obvious way to tell who you're dealing with. but it runs surprisingly deep: to the root of civilization models we are watching clash today. the side I'm on respects worth and significance of an individual human being. when you do respect it, it will never cross your mind to inflict pain for the sole purpose of proving your superiority to yourself, because you have no need to feel superior among equally valuable beings. you don't have to fit in a structure to be valid. on the other side, every aspect of life is evaluated by whom you can dominate to climb higher: a child that can't beat you back, a wife that's physically weaker tha than you, a POW with their hands tied - this is persistent across all the CRINK axis. at this moment in time, our history, culture and our very souls reqire us to make a choice that will shape the future and to pay for it, one way or another. evil cannot go unpunished.
