~2 years ago I was rejected from the grad program I currently attend (in addition to almost every other I applied to). Don’t give up on those dreams kids...
Rejected from every PhD & MS program I applied to after undergrad.
Got the shot I needed at Auburn w/ Rashad and now I'm a JACS published chemist with more high tier work in the way.
I'm still a bit rough around the edges, but I'm here. I belong and so do you reading this.

Small flex but it’s crazy that I work in a lab where I get to do science I’m genuinely excited about. I’m starting to become the scientist I’ve always wanted to be and have so much support from my coworkers in doing so. I think it’s so special.

And/or social sciences!! I decided to pursue minor in education this year. Best decision I’ve EVER made in my life for so so many reasons.
If you’re a STEM major, don’t neglect humanities classes! Beyond the important content of these courses, learning to write clearly and quickly is an invaluable skill that will benefit you in your scientific endeavors.
