My first game back at Commonwealth since my uncle died. He went to every home game for 25+ seasons, I’ve sat with him for the last 20 or so. He died from a battle with lung cancer on his birthday this year. Go Elks.

The former airport just metres away from NAIT is destroyed. Fire crews are working to contain the blaze which has ripped apart the historic building in the Blatchford area.

This building is said to have caught fire because of flaming debris landing on it…
… firefighters tore it down and sacrificed it to protect the neighbouring businesses along the strip, including the Jasper Brewing Company.
