I absolutely would never ever scream or curse at a toddler like the people in these videos. I would never use foul language like the f word. I consider that to be very abusive, and totally unnecessary. I would use a very firm tone that lets them know I am in charge, and maybe raise my voice slightly, and reiterate what I said if they were not listening. I would also direct them to where I want them to go with a firm hand on the shoulder. And if they were 4or 5, and they would not do as I say, they might get a little pop on their behind, or a little tug of the hair by nape of the neck if they were purposely defying me. On the flip side, I don’t agree with the gentle parenting that says you shouldn’t say “no” to a children and that you should give them choice in everything. In early childhood, it’s best just to be direct if you want the kids to listen, and give them choice with many things as well. Kids should learn word early”no” and “wait”, “stop” and “ listen”. generally the only thing needed to get your point across is to let them know you are disappointed, kids generally want to make thier parents happy.
