@Nuckels how so? first off, i trust the box players in my community who we communicate on this stuff. second off, it’s not really that hard to see why nsocd + travel time + cstick clustering + input fuzzing is a complete 180 and would feel bad. 🤷♂️

@Nuckels i don’t own a box and have never used one sadly. have plenty of people in NEM that i communicate with on this issue

@Nuckels my point is even on my absolutely wack ass controller i’m not missing anywhere close to a meaningful amount of inputs. im not disputing that the box controllers dont do this more often than not, i’m saying it is borderline irrelevant because people can just get better (or a phob)

@Nuckels sure, and we should regulate those. tas ics coordinates? ban that. tas peach ledgedash? ban that as well. but to completely make a 180 on the feel and structure of the controller entirely goes too far

@Nuckels fine, take me then. on my 9 year old controller i’ve gotten ranked in my state, region, placed highly at majors, and beaten top 100s on this. people can just get better
@riennezelda @Electroman_DrAl @GTM5471 They've been tightened. It's been cleaned. It's been getting competitive use since 2016. Pots haven't been changed and neither has the stickbox. It feels like an extremely loose madcatz controller. The x/y values randomly change in neutral in smashscope. x/y max/mins are insane.

@Nuckels the fact is that box players do miss tech skill though. i have played some of the best box players in the world, and i can say this is definitely not accurate. it’s not tas, and that’s what a lot of your (and others’) tweets make it seem like

@Nuckels i watch cody and zain and its not like they’re missing their tech skill all over the place. sure, there’s some things that we can (and should) regulate, but the proposed nerfs go way too far

@619_maxi that last part definitely isn’t accurate, there’s players that either A. would have quit due to not being able to play box or B. not joined the community at all due to not having other options there’s slippi kids that have never owned a gcc, all they know is box
