This was really difficult to write but I’m glad I did. The Met police are institutionally racist, misogynistic, homophobic…and adultist?
The police officer told me that if we were approached by a kidnapper, I should take a photo of him and his number plate. Later, he insisted that we – two 10-year-olds – should have rung 999 instead of 101. Then the officer disappeared.
