@TinyWriterLaura I finally found a comfortable, cute outfit, that works for everything from yoga to church. I own it in 10 different color variations and only wear anything different ~2-3 times a year on a very special date night. Low-rise pants delenda est.

RT @Shedletsky: Have you ever wondered what the economic value of an alliance with King Triton via Prince Eric's marriage to Ariel is? No…

@michael_nielsen I learned that it's surprisingly common for Javascript keyboard shortcut libraries to be broken; it dug up this very useful blog post that helps explain why a particular bug I've run afoul of exists.

Does anybody know why @OpenAI models sometimes just… fail to provide a response? Like it'll finish doing all the reasoning and then… stop. I can re-prompt it with “please give me the results” and that usually works, but… why is it doing this?

@qedgs Deep Research is shockingly useful as a search tool, even if you ignore everything else. I've been having it find Twitter accounts worth following and it sometimes hallucinates if I'm not careful with my prompts, but once I got it dialed in, amazing.

@IsaacKing314 One of the videos I used to show back when I was teaching summer camp game design classes was about the difference between “good (as in high-fidelity) graphics” and “good aesthetics” -- but your point about “does it help the user do what they are trying to do” is a good one.

@torbooks I recently read the last book of the Invisible Library series in one sitting. Dark Archive by @GenevieveCogman was gr8. I particularly liked the even-handed approach to fighting the threat from within the bureaucracy without gutting the bureaucracy's mission capacity. Timely.

@rasulkireev Thanks! It's the "compile and then shove the relevant things into an API" part that has been giving me trouble with using obsidian with AI step. Most of the plugins are pretty technical/ confusing even by my standards 😅 I'll check out the script when I'm back at my desk :D

RT @Empty_America: Well to be fair, the construction of fortified "tower houses" and walls is a pretty solid sign of civilizational breakdo…

@VicVijayakumar I have definitely been known to take a day off to catch up on paperwork 😅 Not so much now, but back when I was teaching? Definitely. "Mental health day" because my mental health does best when I'm on top of my shit!
