@tommasodi_di @Avonleebythesea Nowhere except the Atlantic. (Paywall bypass is a thing.) It was about how racist Musk's twitter is/was. Seemed like a pretty meager doxxing, but still unwarranted.

@feelsdesperate @AlanLevinovitz @kittypurrzog None of this is provable with evidence. ~60 labs across the world do GOF research. SARS-CoV-1 was a zoonotic virus. From bats. In China. The 2018 DEFUSE FCS grant was rejected. No work done. You know all this. I'd apparently mistaken you for a careful thinker, not an activist.

@_rotimia @annakhachiyan From a tactical standpoint, that's never helped anyone in his situation. If they'd ever accepted an apology, you'd have a point. Not defending him, but online anonymity and mob corruption creates a pseudo world of experimentation and dopamine shots. Many understand this.

@feelsdesperate @SteveStephens @kittypurrzog That doesn't work with thoughtful empiricists. The available evidence ranges from favoring zoonosis to inconclusive. Lab leakers don't have a single coherent narrative; the whole side is a contradictory mess. Have you engaged with Peter Miller's analysis? Probably should.

@DalmatianFren @benshapiro Trump has comprehensively rejected the JQ conspiracy slop from the online sh*thouse right. Glorious stuff. The bums lost. Your revolution is over.

@BathTimeToast @DMichaelTripi You asking these questions just proves you don't know the subject. You condemn Spencer via genetic fallacy, but admit you know nothing about his work. Incurious. The US did not create jihadism. Start with Wright's The Looming Tower. School of War is an excellent podcast.

@ScottBartB @hunnybadgermom It's a great way to learn history. "American" as an identifier is real if only by degree. A 2nd generation Estonian isn't the same as a 10th generation citizen with countless ancestor veterans fighting and dying since 1680. Different category, culturally and otherwise.

@_whitneywebb More like a partnership with a force that is very capable, already friendly, and incredibly motivated. IOW, the complete opposite of Iraq/ Afghanistan. A stable ME and an ascending Israel is in the interest of Western progress and US values.

@BathTimeToast @DMichaelTripi I listen to John's arguments and read what he writes. He's reasonable and has conversations with lots of veterans, the main experts on military matters. I think you're as naive about the threat of jihadism as most far leftists. You simply don't understand modernity.

@TheTrentHarvey @ByronTau There's this whole process I go through with a media topic: Do I know about this thing? Do I have experience? Expertise? Realizing 90% of people never have these thoughts explains this website, especially all the top rightoid activist accounts. Deeply incurious people.

@EmileReuter @mattyglesias This is once again a media literacy problem. You don't know that it's a grift. The initial interpretation was hasty. Many don't know about enterprise data platforms (LexisNexis, Bloomberg, et al). Huge money. Politico LLC total revenues were 417M for 2023. Do the math.

@BathTimeToast @DMichaelTripi We're fighting a common enemy. The jihadist networks aren't going to magically disappear if we just hold our breath and chant isolationism. You should listen to experienced experts: US vets on the ground, John Spencer. Hamas needs to be annihilated once and for all.

@TheDukeofKewpie @benryanwriter Seriousness doesn't enter into it; it's what they say. I'm all for the USAID audit, it's been corrupt for years. I'm just noticing the casual disregard for mass suffering and inevitable death from the online right. Not about money. They'd say the same thing if we were plush.

@TheDukeofKewpie @benryanwriter We should be honest about motives: at the bottom of this particular faction are people who want to see large volumes of poors in the global south vaporized. They could never stand to see it in person, but that's what they want. Remove the expense. Good "Christians", do you see.

@SevendersOTW @nickmmark It takes more concentration than most want to put in, but this has been argued in depth.

@kenjirapzilla @EPoe187 Ah, I see what you mean. I think that was a fringe spin-off. The same crowd went after various people for fake sexual slights (elevator something). That PZ Meyers POS. Leftoid takeover, yes. I just think the bulk weren't activists weirdos and just had regular lives.

@kenjirapzilla @EPoe187 Perhaps you're right. I tend to think it's just more religious people got on the internet since then. Polls show it's continued to drop, as expected. That's the other part of this: in the 80s-90s, people rarely identified as atheists at all. You barely could.
