@AurelianofRome He is aware that ideological initiatives are (or maybe "can be") "colonial," and that is interesting. He has, by being serious about his work, thought it through more than most.

I understand "race" in this context to be one of the bases upon which an asylum-seeker is being mistreated in his/her home country, but not a criteria for acceptance/rejection of the claim here (i.e. we accept that you may have been mistreated/be gravely endangered for that reason, but we don't use it as a criteria for whether or not we will admit you). Of course, we don't pretend that "there is no such thing."
