@MacLondon @joncstone @raynoldchow @richardavsmith @SafeCycleLDN Irks me a little bit that the "C14" token is only present in "6amβ9pm"

@MacLondon @THWheelers @joncstone @raynoldchow @richardavsmith Crazy design. Are they gonna make it a signalised parallel crossing??

@MacLondon @NewhamCyclists @raynoldchow @joncstone @richardavsmith @SafeCycleLDN Beautiful. High-quality connection all the way to the City (if Tower Hamlets would fix their section of Poplar High Street)

@MacLondon Awful surface. Poor lighting. Poor connections on both sides. Still quite useful tho. Always appreciate crossing points across A12

@MacLondon @NewhamCyclists This bridge can get you to Wick Road thru the estate car park and the small "crescent" park π€«

@MacLondon @raynoldchow Pretty underwhelming just by looking at the junction changes. Just new lights? The north and south streets are already filtered but the rows of parked cars on both sides are not pleasant or safe. Many inexperienced are unknowingly nudged to ride in the door zone

@MacLondon Why the anti-walking surface on the island? So unnecessary. Also increases the severity of injury from falling. @RantyHighwayman

@raynoldchow @RichardT135 @growl3d @GreenwichCycle Excited for this progress. Tho in general, I'd like to see new routes done quicker (with temp materials if it means not getting stuck in consultation/budget approval for years). The magnitude of improvement from no route to temp route is miles more than temp route to perm route

@MacLondon @SafeCycleLDN @raynoldchow Err. Shouldn't there be stop lines in the first pic if it's intended to be signal-controlled? @RantyHighwayman

@gazza_d @RantyHighwayman I like the length of the exits forks 90Β° for zebra and cycle crossings here; visibility from motorists is natural: straight ahead. The exits in the video seem to be quite short β they rely on the competence of motorists to look left. Interested to see how it works in practice

@MacLondon @joncstone @SafeCycleLDN @raynoldchow @richardavsmith Belisha beacon in the 3rd pic appears to be misplaced. Should mark the edges of both elephant and zebra parts I think. @RantyHighwayman

@MacLondon @ramthelinefeed @raynoldchow Very interesting signage. Is that in the Cycleway design guide? I'd expect the national route number badge placed next to the local cycleway badge

@MacLondon @joncstone @SafeCycleLDN @raynoldchow @richardavsmith Quite a bit to unpack in the first pic. So the cycle symbol stays left and gives you 2 seconds to notice and make a move towards the cycle track? β¦while the road is two-way, so you need to check for cars behind you and those emerging behind the give way lines?

@RantyHighwayman I thought DfT doesn't like zebra + uncontrolled crossings without staggering them?

@MacLondon Ah ok that makes sense. Although I recall seeing these signs with ample warning of "last escape before entering tolled area" at Dartford Crossing
