Hey guys! Thank you for all the support! Unfortunately the Holtamania couldn’t get it done today! Felt great, but didn’t quite have the tactics. Thank you to
@CitiusMag
and everyone who supported me! You guys made this the most special week of my life!
I only started running for Empire Elite because Coach Tom Nohilly slid in my Strava DM’s and the commute to practice was short. I started off in the fall of 2020 as one of the worse runners on the team and less than two years later I’m ranked top ten in the 1500m in the USA!
Dang didn’t get into the USATF 5k championships on November 5th in New York City. I guess being 5th best 1500/miler in the United States isn’t enough. Oh well, I expect to dominate the Abott dash 5k the same day instead. Stuff like this motivates and makes me work harder 💪
Crazy to think that I’m invited to this year 5th Avenue Mile. I remember seeing the results years back and wondering how amazing it would be to be in this race. Three years ago I was wasn’t allowed in the b heat. Two years ago I barely got in the b heat. Now I’m in the fast one!
Finished the season with a 8 second PR in the 1500m, 2 second PR in the mile, 2 second PR in the 800m, and just ran 5 seconds faster at 5th Avenue mile than in 2019. Made the olympic trials, but I’m nowhere near done! After a quick break the real training starts!
Don’t know what to think right now!!!! All I can say is this is the beginning! Winning NACAC was a awesome experience, loved representing USA. Hope to represent USA many more times!!!!
Ran at pre trails today in Eugene Oregon. Last time I ran there was seven years ago at junior nationals. I remember telling myself I’ll be here every year because of NCAA. Never made NCAA, but I never gave up! Those lows make the highs that much sweeter! I’m ready for the trials!
It’s so easy to give up on athletic goals post High School. But
@_jacobsweet
really wanted to break 5 minutes in the mile. Two years ago while working a full time job and no where near breaking 6 minutes. Jacob asked me to coach him to break 5 minutes. And today he did it!
Just started running again! And damn it’s so difficult! I went from running 10 miles at sub 6 pace easily to struggling to run 5 miles at 6:30 pace. Why can’t I always be fit?
Words still can’t describe how happy I am about qualifying for the Olympic Trials! There’s still time to train and much work that needs to be done!
#NeverGiveUp
Declaring for the Olympic trials is so hard!!! I’ve been on the phone with USATF all morning to resolve this issue. My email doesn’t work or anything! This might be the hardest part about qualifying!
4th at USAs, now finishing 🥈 in a loaded field with a new PB of 3:35.80 closing down hard. Seriously, what does my guy
@E_HOLT_THE_BOLT
have to do to get a contract? Y’all are paying a bunch of other guys to get beat by someone for free 🤷🏼♂️ kinda crazy if you ask me.
#SignThisMan
Btw I think all of this is hilarious, I don’t actually care. Anyone who knows me, knows how hard I work and what I’ve been doing the last two years. I’m just happy I’m on letsrun for once 😂
How do normal people not gain massive amounts of weight. Since taking my break, I’ve gain a pound a day. And it’s not like a was light guy before I stopped running.
Well Coach and I tried a new strategy and it failed. I decided to sneak attack the field, but unfortunately burnt out. Even this far in my career I consider myself a novice. I’m still learning and I know there’s a lot more I can do.
Track and field has it’s highs and lows. One day you feel unstoppable and other days you’re overwhelmed. Got 10th at the sound running meet running 3:36.9. Was in second with 220 meters to go and then got whipped. Going for the standard again in two weeks at the Murphy classic!
Started Track and Field 13 and a half years ago in eight grade. Exactly half my life ago! When I started I thought I’d be down in one season, but people convinced me to do XC in the fall. Somehow still running and chasing goals I’d never thought were possible!
Thanks to everyone who came out to Icahn Stadium to watch me race! Also to everyone who watch my livestream! Your support is why I still run! Going to go for a fast 1500m next Saturday; no fooling around!
Hey everyone, there’s less than a day to order limited edition Holtamania t-shirts!!! Part of the proceeds goes directly into funding my trip to the Olympic Trials! Thanks to
@CitiusMag
for setting it up!

This is unfortunately true. My dad treats racing like foul shooting in basketball; repetition until success. After I graduated HS, my dad wanted to spend a whole day at track, to see if I could break 4 minutes. He was convinced that given enough attempts I would be a sub 4 miler.
I can't thank everyone enough, the support has been overwhelming! Breaking 4 in the mile has been a dream of mine since I was 13 years old! I may not have the best form, but I'm not going to let it get in front of my dreams. This is the beginning of a new chapter for me!
Coach told me not to kick too early, because the course was misleading. I kick too early and realized I had 200 extra meters. Still got 2nd place in the open 5k at the abott dash. 14:20ish. Going to kick myself a lot for this performance.
Work is underway. Our multi-sport, multi-level, state of the art complex is opening to the public in March of 2022. Are you ready?
#thetrackatnewbalance
A random factoid. For every Binghamton athlete that broke 4 minutes in the mile; this includes four athletes. All four won their race that they broke 4 minutes for the first time.
@dan_schaff
@ErikVanIntern
Jesse Garn and myself.
Excited to run at The Texas Qualifier tonight in Austin! My 1500m goes off at 846 ET. Looking to run fast, and feeling good. You can watch the race

's YouTube for free.
Happy with my 23rd place finish yesterday in the
@usatf
10k National Club XC Championship, representing
@GardenStateTC
. 31:26 in a lot of mud, with great competition. Feeling strong and ready for indoor!
@ChrisChavez
If there’s another celebrity mile this outdoors can
@_jacobsweet
please join? The kid broke 5 recently and writes for the New Yorker. What else can you ask for?
Dani Aragon of Empire Elite takes the women’s 1,500m at the Music City Track Carnival in 4:05.46. She’s been on a tear lately. Started the year with a 4:09.03 PB and now hits the OTQ.
Jenny Simpson second in 4:06.18 for just her second race of 2021.
In Albuquerque rn, so it might be because of the lack of Oxygen in my brain, but I'm convince it's easier to flap your arms around because of less air resistance. Am I crazy lol
Excited to be running in the Allan Steinfeld Invitational Men's Mile tomorrow at the
@MillroseGames
. Loaded field, including
@dan_schaff
! Check it out at 3:19 p.m.
