It's time to start investing seriously in #peacebuilding. Today's @UNPeacebuilding meeting was a welcome opportunity to interact with distinguished members of the Peacebuilding Fund Advisory Group at the start of a crucial year for peacebuilding. ➡️

We are facing a turning point in history, but by no means a point of no return. If we join forces, we can embrace the opportunities and start healing a fractured world. The 🇪🇺EU is committed to collaborate with all partners to build trust and hope. ➡️

We also bid a fond farewell to our colleague 🇺🇸@USAmbUN Linda Thomas-Greenfield during a special exchange of views, and look forward to continued positive engagement with the incoming U.S. PR @EliseStefanik upon her confirmation.

Timely exchange with Ambassador Hameed Opeloyeru, Permanent Observer @OICatUN, on important issues such as peacebuilding, Myanmar, the Middle East, and our common work at the 🇺🇳UN. Looking forward to continuing and strengthening the cooperation between the EU & OIC.

Just hosted 1st 2025 meeting of 🇪🇺EU Perm Reps, a happy reunion! We welcomed new 🇧🇪PR @BelgiumUN, new EU Members of the UN Security Council 🇩🇰@Denmark_UN & 🇬🇷@GRUN_NY & the 🇵🇱Polish presidency of the Council of the EU @POLAND25EU. Focused on meeting global challenges together!

Super team, super job, super-deserved holiday break (finally!) for Maria & the rest of our 🇪🇺 @EUatUN 5C stars! They negotiated and built vital compromises, up to the closing hours of Christmas Eve (!), to ensure that the UN would have its budget. 👏💪
