The SiMA project is a comprehensive effort addressing urban resilience, infrastructure, sustainability & public safety. From solar lighting to tunnel rehabilitation, it strengthens communities and drives recovery. A strong collaboration by @UNOPS, @KfW_int & partners.

I met with @JeanineHennis & @Imran_Riza to discuss @UNOPS’ commitment to Lebanon’s priorities. We reaffirmed our support for the country's security in line with UNSC resolutions and UNIFIL. Strengthening coordination and advancing key projects remain central to our efforts.

Arrived Beirut for 1-week mission in Lebanon, Syria, West Bank, Gaza, Jerusalem. We are living decisive moments in the Middle East region. I will meet national authorities, partners and citizens. @UNOPS remains focused on supporting humanitarian efforts, recovery and development

Next week, I will join @UNOPSMiddleEast colleagues in Lebanon, Syria, the Occupied Palestinian Territory & Israel to meet with partners and authorities. Amid immense challenges, we remain committed to crisis response, recovery & long-term development.

Leaving New York after a highly productive week. We: - Celebrated @UNOPS at 30. - Received strong recognition from the Executive Board for completing our key reforms in 2024. - Got green light to develop a new Strategic Plan to scale up and accelerate impact.

Productive meeting with Dr. Abbas Obaid Al-Fatlawi, Chair of the G77. Discussed capacity building and technical assistance to support development priorities. Strengthening cooperation for sustainable progress.

Great meeting with Amb. @ElinaKalkku, Permanent Representative of @FinlandUN. We reflected on the 3-year reform journey, its achievements & lessons learned, & discussed @UNOPS vision moving forward, along with opportunities to deepen our partnership on sustainable development.

It was a pleasure to meet with Ambassador @BobRae48, Permanent Representative of @CanadaUN. We discussed the impact of Canada's support for projects in Haiti and Gaza, and explored further collaboration on sustainable development.

I met with Mathu Joyini, Permanent Representative of @SAMissionNY, on the upcoming G20 Presidency. Discussed how @UNOPS can support South Africa’s priorities and contribute to impactful outcomes through our expertise on infrastructure and procurement.

It was a pleasure to meet with @TajikistanPRUN Jonibek Ismoil Hikmat, and VP of the Executive Board. We discussed ways to strengthen collaboration and leverage @UNOPS expertise to support Tajikistan's development needs as well as the important priorities of our Executive Board.

A @UNOPS fuel convoy entering Gaza City with +280K liters to supply humanitarian partners and essential services in the north of Gaza. Needs remain immense and we hope this will be the start of a regular daily supply line to power the scale up of assistance in north Gaza.

Pleasure to meet up with my colleague, @UNReliefChief, @TFletcher. Our teams work together in some of the most challenging environments - not least of all #Gaza and #Yemen - delivering aid to those that need it most. I look forward to working even more closely.
