Applications are open for the fifth cohort of the Ethereum Protocol Fellowship!
The EPF provides a pathway for aspiring protocol contributors to make meaningful contributions to Ethereum.
The biggest request from EPF applicants and participants was some kind of “pre program” to get up to speed on everything related to L1 R&D.
It’s happening 🎊 See

Quick Goerli update: while originally the network was expected to remain active for ~1 month post Dencun, nearly all validators have been shut down over the past few weeks. Consider this the final announcement to move to Sepolia or Holesky 📣
Blobs are coming .oO
Dencun is scheduled for mainnet activation at epoch 29696, occurring March 13 at 13:55 UTC. See the announcement below for client release versions and other useful info about the upgrade 🤖
More testnet blobs on the way .oO
Dencun will activate on Sepolia Jan 30, and on Holesky Feb 7. If running a node on either network, now's the time to update it!
Assuming both of these go smoothly, mainnet is next ✅

I'm sure you've all heard of the new celebrity ERC - Non-fungible Token Bound Accounts (ERC-6551)! It's really active and we've been covering it in our newsletter. In this Twitter thread, we want to briefly introduce this ERC and provide some of the best resources... 1/

Let's dive into what this means👇
A brief thread on 4844 and block building
Blobs add significant additional size to blocks. That size adds significant extra latency to building while builders are in a cut throat competition to reduce latency.
Open-source, feature-complete fault proofs are live on OP Sepolia! With permissionless validation, anyone can participate in the system without an allowlist.
This milestone is another step towards multi-proof nirvana that will allow Optimism to reach Stage 2 decentralization.
