for free on UKTV Play!
To celebrate, let's revisit the first time we met our heroes and their yellow helmets...
The amount of drama that we saw take place here over the years! 😍 The office and pole at “Blackwall” fire station from my visit to Dockhead in 2007.
#LondonsBurning
Behind the scenes of my favourite episode of Londons Burning ever made. The dramatic conclusion to Series 4 in 1991. Filmed on location in Cambridgeshire.
#LondonsBurning
😍 I haven’t seen this one for a while! Takes me straight back to the 90’s and the anticipation for Sunday night…..although also meant back to school on Monday 😫

Todays post from
@TVFilmPodcastUK
celebrating the character of John Hallam has really got me remembering back to his death in the show. Series 9, Episode 5, 1996. Is there a more devastating and powerful episode in the entire history of London’s Burning?
Series 7 saw another huge incident unfold for Blue Watch with the Cylinder yard fire which resulted in tragedy for Jaffa! Filmed at an RAF base in Lincolnshire, here are a couple of behind the scenes photos shared with me by a generous follower
#LondonsBurning
😍 Recently shared with me is this amazing behind the scenes picture from the filming of the Series 4 climax, the 2 part warehouse fire. Filmed in St Ives Cambridgeshire.
#LondonsBurning
I’ve just watched the 2 episodes where John Hallam dies. They surely have to be up there with 2 of the best episodes of the show ever made? It’s still very emotional, even now!

As I sign off for Christmas, I want to thank all of you who have interacted with this page and made a tough year for me a little bit happier. Happy Christmas everyone. And as Firefighter Tony Sanderson once said “Have a cool Yule y’all!”
So 30 years ago today Series 1 of Londons Burning was aired on tv! It brings back so many memories. Looking forward to the big fire each week, being allowed to stay up late to watch it and seeing on the tv the places where I live are the main ones. Great times!
#LondonsBurning
I love seeing old photos of London’s Burning. I now have a little collection of photos from the early years of the show that you might not have seen before or won’t have seen very often! First up, The Guv, Sidney Tate directing operations!
#londonsburning
The best ever episode of London’s Burning, for me, was Episode 9 of Series 4. The huge warehouse fire that endangered Blue Watch. And rather unbelievably, that episode was aired 30 YEARS AGO today. 24th November 1991. Crazy!
#LondonsBurning
If only these walls could have talked. A photo from my one visit inside Dockhead aka Blackwall Fire Station way back in 2007. I could almost hear Tate screaming down the stairs to Sicknote about eating his sandwich! 😂
#LondonsBurning
A few days ago I found a couple of pictures online taken in Shad Thames in the late 1980’s, absolutely incredible to see how i remember it as a kid. I stood in the same spot this morning to see what it looks like today. All just a stones throw from “Blackwall” fire station
Today would have been everyone’s favourite firefighter, Mike ‘Bayleaf’ Wilson of Blackwall’s Blue Watch’s birthday 🥳🎂 James Hazeldine would have been 72 today. Bayleaf was Blue Watch’s 🔥💙 mess manager from the movie in 1986 to s8:16. Sadly missed

I am unfortunately sharing some sad news this evening. It has been brought to my attention that Minna Aaltonen who played Marianne in London’s Burning has sadly died at the age of 54. RIP.

The ending sequence of The London’s Burning Pilot movie. It’s brilliant. And for all you Bermondsey lovers, you get a great view of how Dockhead and Surrounding streets looked in the late 1980’s

The opening scene from the first episode of Series 3 in 1990. Straight into action and drama with some moody Londons Burning into music 👌🏼
#LondonsBurning
This is magnificent!! These are hand drawn fire engines from the show! Im afraid I do not know the artist but credit to them for sure! 👌🏼
#londonsburning
Good morning everyone! Here’s a little something to start off the day, a picture of Blue Watch that I’ve never actually seen before! If I had to guess, I’d say it was from Series 5 from 1992!
#LondonsBurning
Hello to all of my new followers! To welcome you all I’m going straight to my most popular location. The huge warehouse fire from series 4, regarded as one of the best the show ever made. Filmed at the old English Chicory factory in St Ives, Cambridgeshire
#LondonsBurning
Back in 2014 this Twitter page was just an idea in my head. Then one summers day I was walking past, decided to take these 2 photos and get the page up and running!
#LondonsBurning
I feel that Bert “Sicknote” Quigley would be a great person to help people battle the corona virus. He’d be leading campaigns, promoting social distancing, handing out masks and gloves....and hopefully not be tempted by a moody stint of self isolation!!
#LondonsBurning
A great picture of some of the cast between filming! 😍 My instinct tells me this was during the pilot movie but it could quite have easily been during series 1

Fire Station opened its doors in October 1928. The station replaced Tooley Street & Rotherhithe. Later, it became the set for TV series London’s Burning with its fictional name Blackwall. In 2016 our new fire station opened
Sunday afternoon, it’s getting dark, the roast dinner is cooking, you don’t want to go to school or work in the morning but then this comes on the tv!
#LondonsBurning
#Memories
Time to say goodbye. An emotional end to this episode as Malcolm says goodbye to Blue Watch and leaves Blackwall for the final time. They absolutely nailed this music which was used several times during the early series
#LondonsBurning
I can now happily confirm that Sidney Tate finished his beloved project, despite damage from the station cat! Top LB fans will understand….
#LondonsBurning
November 5th and I always think of the only Bonfire Night episode of London’s Burning ever made, Series 2 Episode 7.
Mainly filmed across the Redriff Estate in Rotherhithe
#LondonsBurning
More serious music and action shots as Blue Watch are called out again in Series 3. But this time, watch the pole at the far end and young Colin making a pigs ear of sliding down it 😂😂😂
#LondonsBurning
Hey
@ITV
I think Sunday nights at 9pm definitely need some jazzing up! How about getting London’s Burning back on our screens?? Much love, The London’s Burning fan x
It would have been about this time on a Sunday afternoon when I was getting excited for tonight’s Londons Burning whilst dreading going back to school tomorrow 😂
#LondonsBurning
More great drama and music from Series 1 of London’s Burning. Notice the 2 totally different fire engines leaving the station from what’s parked in the bay 😂🚒
#londonsburning
No work today. No kids at home. A bit of a grey day outside. London’s Burning Pilot Movie is going on! 🚒
#LondonsBurning
I just love the opening scenes leading to that first roll call and introduction to Blue Watch
First aired on the 24th November 1991 and attracting a record audience of 18 million viewers, the spectacular and dramatic ending of Series 4 is one of the best the show ever produced! London’s Burning at its finest.
#LondonsBurning
Something that I will always remember and love about the show was the music from the early Series. This was a classic and was used quite a few times over the first series

The little video clip of the start of Series 8 seemed to go down very well a couple of days ago. So it’s time to wheel an old favourite back out! This one is always for

Some more lovely behind the scenes photos from the London’s Burning Pilot Movie! I’m really enjoying these, I didn’t even know they existed until a couple of days ago!

Happy Christmas Eve to all of my wonderful followers! This little behind the scenes photo was taken during filming of the only London’s Burning Christmas special ever made

A great few days here on my twitter page. Loads of comments, interaction and LB memories. Thank you everyone for being a part of it....lots more content to come!👌🏼👌🏼

Just a little taster of what I’ve got to share. Here’s the cast during rehearsals on Fitzalan St SE11 preparing for the house fire scenes in the pilot movie
#LondonsBurning
I love seeing old photos of London’s Burning. I now have a little collection of photos from the early years of the show that you might not have seen before or won’t have seen very often! Today it’s Ethnic, sicknote and Malcolm from the Pilot
#londonsburning
I was once told that the riot scenes from the pilot movie were filmed on derelict land where the O2 Arena now stands. Now I have some pics to prove it. The Rotherhithe Street buildings were just a built set. Amazing!
#LondonsBurning
The newly formed Blackwall Blue Watch being put through their paces at the London Fire Brigade training centre before filming of the pilot movie began
#londonsburning
The Hartleys Jam Factory near Tower Bridge made an appearance back in Series 5. Long before it was refurbished into modern apartments

I love seeing old photos of London’s Burning. I now have a little collection of photos from the early years of the show that you might not have seen before or won’t have seen very often! Today it’s 3rd in command Malcolm Cross! Seen here in a promo for the Pilot

I love seeing old photos of London’s Burning. I now have a little collection of photos from the early years of the show that you might not have seen before or won’t have seen very often. Today, the man who was seen as the father of Blue Watch, Bayleaf!

The last of a little collection of London’s Burning adverts and I’ve saved my favourite until tonight! The narrators voice, the action shots, the music, the old ITV logo. This advert brings back so many memories! Enjoy! ☺️
#LondonsBurning
28 years ago this month around 17 million people tuned into series 6 of London’s Burning. This is a classic ITV advert for episode 6 and a warning for George…
#LondonsBurning
The old fire station in Rotherhithe Street was used in Series 3 in 1990 where Colin attended his first fire. These pictures show behind the scenes from filming and then how it looks today!

The appliance bay and watch room from our favourite fire station “Blackwall” aka the real life Dockhead Fire Station. These were taken when I was very kindly allowed to look around the inside back in 2007.

A very small number in the grand scheme of Twitter but I’ve been watching my followers slowly creep up so to now hit 3000 is amazing and I thank you all for following and interacting. Long may it continue! 🍻
Series 9, Episode 4 brings the first of the two episodes of John Hallam’s death 😢 Filmed at the derelict British Sugar factory just outside Peterborough in Cambridgeshire I have finally managed to find a photo of it during demolition to reference to the show
#LondonsBurning
Ladies&Gents, 2 absolute gems of photographs for you to see! Taken behind the scenes during filming of the Pilot Movie. The Firefighter in the photo with Vaseline worked at Dockhead and has been incredibly kind in letting me share these with you. Thank you Richard
#londonsburning
I will never get bored of posting this photo! I don’t think we will ever see the show back on our screens but if we did, I hope it would look like this!
