One of the things I'm most pleased with how it turned out in Ant Ausventure is the waterways, I went the Houdini sim route for the first time, and imported them as looping(almost) geometry caches, allowing me to easily get the realistic look I wanted. #UE5 #UnrealEngine5 #Gamedev

One of the main cool things about Strata is that you can layer material properties and have it evaluate normal of all the layers, here the puddles have a flat reflection but we can still see the normal of the concrete below! super cool! #UnrealEngine #UnrealEngine5 #UE5 #GameDev

Epic added a new denoiser for Path Tracing this week, NFOR, specifically designed for sequence rendering, it appears incredibly stable compared to the default denoiser, with more normal looking noise vs the insane warbling with the default. #UE5 #UnrealEngine #GameDev #Cinematic

Apparently Nanite is not only working (kind of) with WPO it also seems to be working with masked materials now as well! Not sure when this made it into the engine but this is exciting! Look its a moving Nanite Tree! #UnrealEngine #UnrealEngine5 #UE5 #Shader #Gamedev
