They go after free platforms because it's literally stolen content. These people spent years making these show and they deserve money for making a show you enjoy. You can be mad at Netflix or whatever but you're still taking money from the people who made the show... Because they choose the easiest distribution method? This is not a new thing. TV has always been subscription. Sometimes they put shows on DVD but 99% of the time it's straight to cable and no way to get a physical copy without burning it to a disc.
