A decade ago, as a middle school principal, I had a student write one of the most touching testimonials about the impact of compassionate leadership. Today, this memory surfaced and powerfully reminded me why we dedicate ourselves to education. The student highlighted qualities that should define every educational leader: genuine connection with students, active presence in their activities, and creating opportunities for growth through field trips and arts programs. Most striking was their emphasis on respectful treatment of everyone, even in challenging moments. This reflection reinforces that our most lasting impact comes not just from academic leadership, but from modeling respect, maintaining cheerful persistence, and ensuring every student feels heard and supported. As educational leaders, we shape experiences that students carry with them for years โ perhaps even decades. I am blessed to be part of a profession that shapes, not just the minds, but the whole child - EVERY SINGLE CHILD.

What a wonderful celebration at our Teaching, Leading, and Learning Holiday Luncheon! The room was filled with holiday cheer as our TLL family gathered to celebrate the season together. From the festive decorations with poinsettias and holiday greenery to the delicious lunch and warm conversations, it was a perfect way to wrap up the year. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Special moments included sharing stories, enjoying each other's company, and celebrating our collective achievements. A little over a year ago, the Lemerand Center of Excellence began making a difference for @PalmTerrace_VCS and @TurieTSmall students and their families.
