🎓 Volusia County Schools' graduation rate has reached an outstanding 93.7% for the 2023-24 academic year, up from 91.6% last year and 4 percentage points higher than the state average! At the School Board meeting today, we had the chance to celebrate our entire VCS family and stakeholders! Volusia County Schools has been honored with the 2025 Resilience Award by District Administration, a leading resource for K-12 district leadership. This national recognition celebrates our district’s leadership in hurricane preparedness, student safety, and educational continuity. Thanks to each of you who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and success of our 60,000 students.

Tonight, we proudly celebrated the creativity and hard work of students who participated in the “Safely Rolling to My Destination” safety contest, sponsored by the Volusia Sheriff’s Youth Foundation. This campaign focused on educating the community about the safe practices of riders, walkers, and bicyclists. The School Choice Fair (westside schools) is happening TODAY, Jan. 27, from 5:30-7:00 PM at the @centeratdeltona. This is a great opportunity to learn about the many academic and extracurricular activities each school has to offer.
