@beastieboy07 It's great to watch Alex Carey play. Composed, understated and incredibly industrious, and, it must be said, obscenely quiet for an Australian wicketkeeper. Probably why his actions seem to speak so much louder...

@themiasandrist "I hate pretending she has something she can teach me" Dude. Do you realise what this teaches everyone else about you?

@ElizabethKamel I think 'other people' exist only in the abstract for such personalities. They see the rest of humanity as nothing but NPCs in their quest for imagined glory...

@ElizabethKamel Truly one of the most awful stories. She had no idea just how much harm she was doing, but couldn't have been blind to all of it.

@HoldsworthCJ @retrobike_c16 Yes, which would of course be a whole other class of disaster. As opposed to this, which is the epitome of trying to look proactive while doing actually very little

@fee_bee_63 @ladytronic @ProfMarkBowman Also: The regulatory barriers to interstate alcohol trade in the US makes tariffs seem like childsplay in comparison

@bobepidemiology @ProfRobHoward Of course the phrase 'most will not benefit' merges two distinct ideas: 1) that MRI offers only marginal diagnostic utility over clinical assessment and 2) diagnostic precision matters little when effective treatment does not exist. 1) has barely changed over time 2) may yet 🤞🏽

@AndrewHayen Bacon is absolutely lethal. I can't believe you're saying this when Peppa's family and friends are still grieving. Smdh.

@DrAllyLouks Will they rename the entrance the introitus? Please make it so. You're our only hope.

@MichaelSFuhrer @disco___cat Yes the only feasible way to make this happen is to restrict Australian access to non-Australian music. Which would be to everyone's detriment, including future Australian artists!

@SimonDavisTas This is precisely it. The mind boggles at the logic [sic] that says reducing the total dose per packet of a $3 medication will deter or dissuade an intentional overdose. There may even be an unforeseen detrimental consequence: of alerting people to the minimum lethal dose!

@LaDolceVita_99 Are you aware of any evidence that this has resulted in a lower incidence of intentional overdose? At least looking at Ireland and the UK, who have different package limits, this study couldn't find a benefit:

@retrobike_c16 This comes back to a key tenet of public health regulatory power: don't let the good be the enemy of the ostentatiously ineffective and sanctimonious

@taipan168 @disco___cat Having said that, we clearly prefer to tax buzzes even more than kill them, no matter how harmful they are
