I will never be the same. Thank you God for the time you gave us with Amer. Before he was a son, a brother and a student, he belonged to God. I trust you almighty God.

I am pleased to announce that Kramer did not have any out of school suspensions for the first month of school. Our whole child approach is working. It also helps to know every child by name to start building trusting relationships.

I grew up in Prichard, AL in poverty on this very street. I had to come back to reflect and to never forget where I came from. I was surrounded by crime and drugs. I will always be humble because I know where God has brought me from.
As a school leader, honoring, supporting and appreciating the team that I serve is important. I have a HIGH respect for educators and want to build a team to educate and mold our youth. I want my team to know that they are VALUED and BELONG! Leaders should bring out their BEST.
The administration at Flowers High School has decided to bring me back as the senior inauguration speaker for the class of 2024. I will be delivering a message to the senior class entitled, "From Digital to Diploma." Be ready to be uplifted and inspired.
See you there!

I’m excited to share my new assignment as the 8th grade assistant principal. I will send out a weekly newsletter called “8th Grade Weekly Buzz.” I look forward in leading and supporting our 8th grade and their transition to high school.
On March 20-22 at 6:30 PM at the Fairmont Height stage, my original play Sons of Zaire will be presented to the world. Please come out and support our hard work. If you came to The Color Purple last year, you have seen our quality of work and our professionalism.
One of my students slid this note under my door. This is motivation for me. Impacting our students for the better is my mission.

Just trust your process. It may shift you in a direction that you never imagined. However, in order to grow you, you must be ready to shift when it’s time.
I was in a meetings and my students said they need to see me because it’s an emergency. Then they surprised me with this banner with all their favorite “Dr. Mac” sayings. I appreciate them!
I want to show my 8th grade team that I deeply appreciate them. I never want them to feel unappreciated or undervalued. Every chance I get, I show them appreciation for the service they do each day for our kids.
🐝The school climate data has significantly improved at Kramer this year. Our attendance ISA increased by 2%. Our suspensions decreased by 309 suspensions. Chronic absenteeism has significantly decreased. There is a direct correlation between school leadership and school climate.
Our new initiative at Kramer Middle School is called Mirror and Windows. School should be a place where students, faculty and staff see themselves in and see themselves through in our community. They will be reminded daily that they belong at Kramer.
@DCPSChancellor
This is what happens when your AP is from the country. Shoes are off and fish are frying on Friday’s at the HIVE. We started new traditions to be a part of The Kramer Way! I’m excited about what is to come next school year.
Yesterday,
@katreena_shelby
presented a dynamic presentation on Re-Imagining School: Finding a Pathway Forward. Kramer Middle School received an award from NASBE for all the things we have done to re-imagine school.

I graduated from Tuskegee University with my bachelor’s degree. I was always astonished that Dr. Booker T. Washington is buried on the campus. What a powerful legacy to be buried on a campus that still fulfills the vision you passed down to us.
I returned to work after the death of my grandmother, and my team and students welcomed me back with love and condolences. I needed that this morning. They gave me the motivation to persevere.
Our Kramer students, faculty and staff will feel their sense of belonging in the building with our new initiative! All throughout the building, they will see pictures of themselves in the hallways. We can’t help but to have joy at Kramer Middle School.

It felt good to go back to Dunbar Senior High School to celebrate my students who are now seniors! I’m very proud of them! This is the best part of being an educator: we get an opportunity to see them grow up. It feels good to know that I played a part in their development.
It felt so good to go back to the place who shaped and molded me into the educational leader that I am today. Fairmont Heights is a special place to me. Happy Homecoming to all of FHHS!

It felt great to professionally develop Black male teachers because we only make up less than 2% of teachers in the classroom. Thanks

On December 4, on an ICE COLD Tuesday, the greatest fraternity was founded. Shout out to the good bruhs! My two LBs, my Prophyte and the young king in the center is my former student turned Phrat brother. 🤙🏾

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of a former student Ashley Prentice. She is a recent graduate of Dunbar Senior High School. She fought a good fight with cancer. Please keep the Kramer team and her family in your prayers or thoughts.
