As participants progress through the study, they will consider areas that need additional focus in their own schools and school systems and be challenged to identify, understand, and address areas where growth is needed to make sure the school and classroom supports great teaching and high levels of student learning. A prerequisite for this professional study is to read the book, You Can Get in the Way – How You Can Become a ROADBLOCK to Risk Factors. Every participant is given a copy of the book and asked to read it. This is a one-year Professional Learning Unit (PLU) and participants will earn one PLU upon completion.
