@GBNEWS
If we lockdown now, we'll lockdown every year. At some point we'll have to accept this is endemic and we'll have to live with the constant outbreaks - like we do with influenza
#lifegoeson
I’d like to say thank you to our military medical colleagues who have been helping us during the covid pandemic at ULHT. It was at pleasure to work with you all. ❤️

@afneil
Perhaps if Corbyn answered the questions he was asked he’d be allowed to finish. I got sick of listening to Corbyn avoid the questions.
When you hand over the baton of a flaming Emergency Department to
@DanBoden1
he grabs it with his teeth and dives straight in. Thank you for rescuing me and for everything you do for our community 🙏💪
@LincsPolice
@NBPAUK
I love the work
@LincsPolice
do, but there's no surer way to create divide than to establish groups that highlight our different skin colour. If you want a truly diverse and non-racist police force, please consider yourself police officers not black or white police officers.
@piersmorgan
I’m really starting to worry about
@piersmorgan
Is he having some kind of mental health crisis? Bad language, delusional, obsessive, over-valued ideas, abusive. Someone close should reach out to him!

Well done team Lincoln ED. Another weekend of dedication and teamwork, delivering great emergency care to our community despite significant pressures. 👍🙏
This is the phenomenal team I get to share my time with when working at
@liveshq
- not only are they passionate about saving lives, but they are passionate about training and delivering the highest value care too!

I completely empathise. A friend of mine recently quit his job and became a florist. He's never been happier. Be like him, find something you love. Life is short ♥️

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that we've lost a colleague. Mr Manjeet Singh Riyat was a hugely respected Emergency Consultant at Royal Derby Hospital
Great to finally meet
@SimonEvansNHS
today, NHS exemplar and contributor to top class healthcare for our community. Great to know you’re up there steering the ship!
In resus I’ve lost count of the patients I’ve received who were out exercising or who were at the Gym. I don’t recall any that were eating fish & chips. I’m taking no chances!
@ToniaBuxton
I’ve just woke up on New Year’s Day to be greeted by this dreadful news. I dearly hope this isn’t an omen for the rest of 2022. It can’t be hard to find someone more deserving surely?
I’ve just finished “Debrief Training” another awesome

initiative to help care for the mental health of our staff throughout the

crisis. ❤️💪❤️
Being a bad doctor is so easy; smash out those antibiotics, and send anything slightly complex to ED.
Being a good doctor is both tiring and risky. I wonder how much longer I can get away with being a good doctor.
Thank you To the night team for handing over a wonderfully in-control department this morning. This left us with a pleasant day shift, and the ability to pass it along to the evening shift 👍🙏💪
Dear Santa
For Xmas this year may we have an NHS robust enough to survive the predicable and measurable annual winter pressures, and a government honest enough to admit this is the real problem. 🙏🏻
Yours truly - an Emergency Doctor

Team ED are always at their best when the shit hits the fan!
Even a major fire causing the department to close and evacuate all the patients to other parts of the hospital, felt like it was nothing.
Amazing teamwork!

For sale; 3 trampolines, 2 wheelie bins, and a shed roof.
New stock coming in every few minutes.
Procrastinators may be disappointed as stock is going out as fast as it comes in.

While I agree there are issues NHS doctors should be fighting for, pay is definitely not one of them. Second highest paid profession in the U.K. with the opportunity to earn £80k+ within 5 years of graduation . Others have it much worse. The sense of entitlement is staggering!
Now’s the time to forget your political alignments. Trust our

wartime spirit and get through this together! No more pulling in different directions please 🙏

Two Officers assaulted whilst attending a Covid19 complaint in Sleaford last night
Cuts & Bruises sustained, one adult Male in Custody
NOT “part of the job”
NOT acceptable
Officers took a stepped & proportionate approach (Engage, Explain, Encourage) before Enforcement

Thanks for the welcome Dan.
I'm definitely looking forward to supporting these wonderful initiatives to help improve the healthcare of the Lincoln community.
Loving the energy; bring it on!
Just watched The Gentlemen by
@realguyritchie
- a real filmmaker who doesn’t rely on expensive computer generated effects to produce fantastic story telling. Favourite movie in many years. Thank you!
Or at home! Remember: Why not home, why not today?!
The best outcomes come from fast flow to definitive care, or from quick discharge home. Snappy Snappy makes us happy.

A more useful strategy might be have ambo managers rotate with crews and in ED to understand how their risk averse policies and lack of crew support are preventing phps making the clinical decisions they want to. Nobody ever lost their job for taking someone to hospital right?
@DrShanHussain
@DrTeckKhong
There’s no shame in voicing your opinion, even if it doesn’t align with yours. What’s with the mask - you do realise they have no benefit?
In the butchers on the way home from work:
Butcher: Are you a doctor?
Me: Err, yes.
Butcher: Can I ask you a question?
Me: Umm, OK.
Butcher: What does it mean when you get a shooting pain in your left testicle?
Me: Errrrrm; half a kilo of chicken breasts please. 😳

I've just overheard a conversation between

and my son, where they blatantly told him that Argos products are "Essential Services" despite a directive they are not. My son is not a key company employee. They actually hung upon him when I protested.
I've been quite a GP sceptic in recent times, but I have come to realise many of our GPs are unsung heroes trying to stave off the floods of healthcare consultations. In the face of requiring more doctors, many of us are thinking of changing careers. We need change!
Some surprising NHS statistics (unless you follow me)
GP appoints increased by 3million to 31million/month
111 calls static total 1.7m/month
Ambulance calls and transfers unchanged 700k/month
A&E attendances 2million/month
GPs need more respect & support - 2000 fewer GPs
@DrBenLovell
It’s important to realise ED is also a speciality, and we do the tests in ED we need to do to make ED decisions. We’re not a work up service for other specialties. However, we’re all part of a wider team and if we can assist each other we should provided it doesn’t delay transfer
NATO are now fighting a war by proxy with Russia
Who thought it was a good idea to seduce a Russian neighbouring neutral country into a military alliance with NATO & the EU?

I have, and Lyme disease isn’t an emergency. This is unlikely Lyme disease however, looks like erythema multiforme. Over the phone diagnosis with photos is completely appropriate and a more efficient use of public money imo.

95% of those who lose weight via diet and exercise regain the weight within 10 year follow up. We've been pedalling diet and exercise for 60 years and it has failed us miserably.

commented that Brexit isn’t the reason for border queues which are likely due to French management decisions, and you assert that means she hates Europe. ⬅️ This is a classic non-sequitur logical fallacy.

It's the reason I left after living there 2.5 years. What's really strange is the way the country is run does not reflect the carefree and free spirited nature of the average Australian 🤷🏻♂️
