Never the same day twice. Up early with the landing craft to collect the deer shot yesterday and recover the broken down Gripper. Back to Mallaig with 2 boats in tow for the engine doctor to take a look. Non-stop, but Incredible scenery. G'day @isleofrum @isleofeigg

My turn to cook dinner tonight, so there's tatties in the fire and beans and bacon on top. I won't be leaving it unattended with the two innocent looking guzzlers on standby for a slipup, though they might be caught very red pawed! #winteratDoune

@isleofrum We're doing a steady transition rather than all in one go. Quite a few people find us through Twitter, so it would be daft to abandon it immediately, but hopefully over time Blue Sky will grow and Twitter will shrink.

During 2025 we're planning to transition away from X to Blue Sky. The algorithms on X seem set dead against unverified accounts and the behaviour and attitude of the owner is unpalatable. We're Doune-Knoydart on Blue Sky, so easily found. Hope to see you there.

What a day! Gripper looks lovely on the Abraham's mooring in Loch Hourn after dropping off the deer stalkers. Sadly she wouldn't start again after, so a long walk, quad, walk, land rover, second land rover and snowy walk home. To Airor and Inverguseran neighbours - thank you!

Some days we pinch ourselves, having the opportunity to live and work in this environment. "Work" today is transporting the Knoydart Foundation deer stalkers into Loch Hourn, to continue their annual cull of red deer. Zoom in for the snow coveree Cuillin Ridge behind Gripper!

@simon75136029 Ah, just looked at the schedules to see which programme...definitely us! That's all a bit outdated now - 24hr power, triple glazing and central heating - we might have got better than 15/20 from Mum if they'd filmed it now!
