Shortly after being selected to be an astronaut @astro_Pettit was assigned as my mentor but we became fast friends over our hobbies including photography. Don taught me a lot about taking images in space before I launched. Join us for a discussion on astrophotography.

Rockets flying and landing in formation. What a time to be alive. Maybe one day we will have a rocket ship flight demonstration team to inspire future generations to explore with us.

We flew right over the top of Hurricane Beryl today. Peering down into the eye with the 50 to 500 mm lens gave me both an eerie feeling and a high level of weather nerd excitement. Whole Hurricane: 50mm, f9, ISO 1000, 1/32000 Eye: 210mm (50 to 500m lens), f13, ISO 1000, 1/26000
