Australia - 26 yo Ryan Siew, guitarist for metalcore band Polaris died unexpectedly on June 19, 2023
He had been struggling with brain fog and fatigue.
COVID-19 mRNA vaccines cause many neurological injuries that manifest as brain fog and fatigue.

Listen I know I will attract the haters but I will always prefer this project to Spiritbox
I know they aren’t the same genre but the comparison is unavoidable and damnit this shit is so fun.
Alpha Wolf album art is actually fine y’all need to shake this notion that metalcore covers have to be hyper digital floating polygons in space surrounded by fire or whatever the hell.
Would love for Sumerian Records to provide credible, reviewed reports of *any* vaccine innately causing fatality that isn’t a matter of freak anaphylaxis.
Please.
PRETTY please.
Listen this is coming from someone who does not like Sleep Token in the least, if you think they’re cooking their numbers off of these singles, you’re nuts. We’re living in a time where heavy music can undergo a meteoric rise in popularity, soak it up, it’s sick.
Mid-late 2000s Christian metalcore was really something else and arguably some of the angriest music out there. These boys were really ready to launch another crusade in white v necks and jeggings.
Friendly reminder that “having no opinion” about allegations regarding racism and sexual abuse in order to make corny reaction videos for profit is morally bankrupt. The details are abundant. You can look them up.
Also the song is a cesspot of contrived and worn out ideas kthx
Listen bro I don’t even have real beef with Sumerian I just think it’s silly to talk about something from a professional platform you aren’t trained in and sillier to double down on it citing headlines that don’t even support your point.
Also mail your stuff and drop Veil idk
I love guns. I own many guns, a majority of them collector pieces with no actual “practical” value. I would give them all up if it meant less shootings like the one today in Texas. Owning cool guns is not as precious as human life—if you think it is, please grow up.
I remember when Trevor put my band on one of his year-end lists for his favorite releases. I still think about how awesome it was that he kept an ear to the ground and supported the young bands playing nothing but breakdowns. The world is a worse place without him.
Lorna might have had the most technically impressive/flawless live vocal performance I’ve ever seen. Will either nailed the pitch/style exactly to album specifications OR improvised+exceeded them. The whole band killed it, but I can’t remember being so impressed with a vocalist.
Listen I liked The Act, but if The Devil Wears Prada is doing a Zombie II, they gotta cut the shit and go right on back to the 2008-2010 breakdowns and synth TDWP that we know, love and miss.
Also Sturgis.
On some very very real shit, what’s happening with Rowe vs Wade is terrifying. The notion that the ability of women nationwide to make medical decisions affecting their own body is at imminent risk of being revoked is horrifying and wrong.
@DGlaucomflecken
Just finished ID for two weeks and after months of being told my HPIs were too long or thorough I was finally told they needed more substance and I died just a little.
Been excited on this one for a while, enjoy a review for the new
@LornaShore
record, Pain Remains. A year-defining record from an outstanding band.
Go ahead and tell me it all sounds the same and I'll tell you y'all aint paying attention to the music.
@SumerianRecords
I don’t think anyone, including the people making the proposition, think a yearly Covid booster would be mandatory for show attendance. If the model is the current flu vaccine rollout (as current evidence suggests), then nothing would likely change for your average person?
There isn’t another band that’s currently active who have gone through what Lorna Shore has gone through and come out the other side still putting out perfect music. Go listen to Sun//Eater right now. Apex Deathcore.
Within Destruction, Analepsy, Bodysnatcher, Abbie Falls, Born a New, Abated Mass of Flesh and more all dropped new deathcore/brutal death songs or records today that are all more worth your time than the track that shall not be named.
Please go listen to those bands.
CJ literally had a year to brainstorm a name for this new project and the best he had was an amalgam of two records in bands he was previously a part of? That REALLY should tell y’all all we need to know about the originality coming out of this new garbage.
All y’all “deathcore in 2023 sucks” chumps don’t have ears. Crown Mag, Tracheotomy, Tactosa, Signs of the Swarm, PSYCHO-FRAME, TSZ, Gun Devil, Crown of Horns, WBBC, TQG, Impuritan, Waste…so many excellent acts dropping new stuff.
Thanks to Sony Music for sending me LORNA SHORE's latest album "PAIN REMAINS".
It seems that this is the landing album and debut album in Japan. It is a stiff deathcore, isn't it?
Listen y’all I’ve had a child, seen the Grand Canyon, held a still-beating heart and touched a human brain but there ain’t NOTHING out there I’ve experienced quite like a sick ass breakdown.
Mentally preparing myself to start beef with everyone promoting CJ’s new project on Friday, won’t have been this hard with the Twitter fingers since everyone thought they knew medicine in March of 2020.
I am absolutely serious when I say no deathcore band before has done it the way Lorna Shore is doing it. Band’s career showcases the biggest W for the genre in recent history, maybe ever.
Shrine of Malice was faced with a simple choice: cut ties with the predator that fronted their band and try again OR realize they’re a one trick pony and try to sweep everything under the rug, leaving a literal rapist as the vocalist.
They chose B. Why. How.
>>posts screenshots of CJ McCreery being openly racist on Immortal Disfigurement’s post.
>>Blocked with quickness.
These kids are softer than Charmin man.
@DGlaucomflecken
True story my first rotation of third year was PM&R, and every day I rolled in at like 9:30, got free food from patients or nursing staff, hung out in the rehab gym and left at 3. Life was good.
My second rotation was general surgery.
@gxdbrand
Systematically:
Why CJ looked photoshopped in?
Why he tattoo his jawline but that shit still didn’t show up to the shoot?
Why ol boy look like he got a restraining order against the Sun?
Why we trying the Tom Selleck stache?
Why people supporting this dollar general Lorna Shore?
Aight here’s the deal. Tomorrow I’m putting out a record I’ve worked on for over three years. All I ask is you tell a friend. If you’re reading this, I’ve probably written more than one article for your band and shared your music. Your boy just wants one share in return.
Bruh I don’t really know why or how cocaine got mad popular again but consider this a friendly reminder that it’s actually awful for you in a great variety of ways, but even occasional use can still lead to devastating cardio and cerebrovascular disease (heart attack/stroke).
Two things:
You gotta give it to knocked loose, despite their astronomical rise to (relative) fame, they’d stayed pretty damn true to their sound and refused to compromise. The new singles highlight that.
The new Chamber LP made me a fan of the band.
Happy Wednesday
In a world where new Boundaries is out today and new Mortal Reminder is out tomorrow (or today if you’re a Friend of Mortal Reminder™️), choosing instead to listen to Dealer is truly psychopathic behavior.
This record took over three years to make and release in the middle of my medical education and residency. It means the world to me, and hopefully y'all dig it. If you're so inclined, a quick lil rt would be awesome (no really please we talked about this yesterday)
First show in Arizona was
@SPITEca
, last show in Arizona was Spite.
Shout out
@InSheol
for the (HQ as fuck) video. Shout out the whole band for being awesome people.
On God I promise my daughter will be able to differentiate between metalcore and hardcore, and she also won’t clutter your feed with crowdkill commentary. If I do those two things, I’ll be a successful dad.
But for real welcome to the world Harper Lynn Welsh!
Seeing the entire feed gassing up
@SPITEca
is so very wholesome. I know it took a lot of y’all 5+ years to catch up I’m glad to see them finally getting the love, respect and attention they deserve
Quick life update, ya boy is gonna be doing a vascular/interventional neurology fellowship from 2024-2027 at Michigan State. Stoked to go back home, maybe a little less stoked for snow. If you’ve read any of my tweets in the last 6 months, you know the size of this W.
Psycho-Frame are playing one of the craziest sets for the first band I’ve seen in a minute
insane this band hasn’t even played 20 shows
Go see this band when they come close to you
How dare you ever ask me if I am up Psychoing my Frame. My frame is PERMANENTLY psycho’d. Nazarene? Dragged. God? Seeked (sook?), remotely. Glass? Rained. New Jacks? Exterminated. You get my mf gist.
@thepunkrockmba
Literally nothing about their gain in popularity has been controversial though? Like they have put their nose to the grindstone through adversity after adversity. When news about their former vocalist became known internally and publicly, they did the right thing and moved on
I get not liking
@SPITEca
(you’re wrong but I get it), but there’s no denying how much Darius progresses with each release, let alone the entirety of the band. Blows me away.
