@Twisted39273706 Masks work better in one direction compared to the other, but are effective to some degree in both. Vaccine efficacy changes as the virus and pandemic both evolve. These statements are in no way contradictory.

@TheSciBabe @PeterHotez @DrEricDing @DoctorKarl @DrTomFrieden @drninashapiro I’d call this more a pilot than anything else. Only 200 participants and no blinding. Plus the endpoints are rather weak. Seems worthy of a larger, double blind placebo controlled trial based on these results.

@DenzW13 The bottom line is that the Covid vaccine trials are no different than other vaccine randomised controlled trials, except they were much larger (10s of thousands of subjects rather than a few thousand).
