Glad you like it π€. It was the recipe that inspired the article which, I believe, epitomizes Henry Livings' wit and humor. Pat Sykes who is in the Booking in tent with me every Whit Friday was on the 1st Dobx WF committee. This is us - a terrible photo - but special π
Catching up on my reading. Pleased to see last week's @DobcrossWhitFri programme has a feature on Henry Livings excellent centenary history of @Dobcross_Silver with interesting details of life and work in the area from the late 19thC and the effects of WW1.

@SamSlideBuxton @burngold @TruronianC No, last year 138, and we didn't have the capacity for that many. Think Manc Airport on an August bank holiday with 11 gates open. There will always be planes circling around waiting for space, and when they do land, there will be long queues. 120 is max optimum capacity.

@DobcrossWhitFri @SamSlideBuxton @TFGMBeeNetwork As luck would have it, we decided to walk up to Dobcross from Uppermill this year. It was my first time there (as a spectator at least) and I can confirm it's lovely! The green where the stationary contest happens is picturesque and the acoustic sounds great...

What a great article! I'm probably biased, but it's a bit disappointing that Dobcross is missing from the 'contests to visit' list, see @SamSlideBuxton's report. Also @TFGMBeeNetwork have good bus services to the contests. Still love the article though!!
@JayneMcCubbinTV @BBCBreakfast @FridayWhit What a great segment! If anyone wants a little more detail, I recently attempted to explain the whole glorious business in writing...
