This is the reason I’ve been inactive last week.
I’m a father now.
This is also a reason I was very active for the last few months, up to a point where I started getting comments like “man, you’re all over Twitter”
This is also the reason why I have an infinite source of
I changed my banner and I already see it's performing much better!

Looking at this

trend, it's clear: the closer our "designer future" gets, the more crucial creativity becomes.
Figma will soon create designs, making many think it'll replace designers. It will replace some designers in big companies & corporations who just move
All of my client work comes exclusively from X now.
3 months ago I've had a couple of low-intensity clients and no social presence at all.
Now, I am fully booked. I'm forever grateful to this community for this.
But what value does this have for you apart from me sharing my
Woah, I just finished the visual part of "growing on X" guide, and it turned out to be 30 pages, even though I've spent a week shortening and distilling it.
Posting it tomorrow!
3000 followers, woah! I started from zero this February. Completely clueless.
Now I get clients, great connections solely from X.
This is the best investment of my time I’ve ever made as a freelance designer.
And this message is for those who are in the shadows of X:
I have
All of my leads and work come from X.
It became my main source of work and leads.
I've never been doing as good as I do now both workload-wise and financially.
I've gathered my thoughts on getting leads on X into a small thread:
Website design and branding concept for a blockchain project.
I took a decentralized transaction concept as the main idea in this branding and design concept.
Details are in the thread.
How I grow as a designer on X.
A (relatively) short self reflection / guide / my findings.
To celebrate 2000 followers over the last 100 days, I thought I’d share what I learned from this journey.

A few years ago, my wife and I started a small shop selling our handmade home goods.
Despite not being a big success, we designed and built everything from scratch, including the logo, website, and products.

Super excited about this! I'll definitely use this for my portfolio update.
I know I've shared this, but I was at maybe 300 followers. So doesn't hurt to share it once more, but now with the movement and a crisp gif.

Throughout my design career, I've been offered numerous attractive positions in companies that would have significantly improved my financial situation at the time. However, I've consistently declined these offers. Initially, I didn't fully understand why
I'm writing an in-depth guide on growing on X as a designer. Should be out for free early next week. I'm sharing a lot of the insights I got for the last 6 months here.
Is there anything you'd like me to include or expand on in this guide?
If I’d be able to give myself one single advice when I was just starting out as a designer, I’d say “take social presence as seriously as you take design”.
Can’t believe I’ve slept on this.

I saw an old Nissan Maxima A32 today, reminiscing about my first car which I believe had a "soul".
It reminded me of being 16, flipping through old car magazines. So I got inspired designed a few layouts.

The moment I saw this tweet (it popped up in my feed as well) I immediately recognised this type of “client”. Funny how they think they’re unique, but in reality you can smell this type miles away after you’ve experienced working with at least one of those.
For a long time, I focused my design work exclusively on Twitter and my followers here.
That approach brought me the success I was seeking on the platform. It led to numerous opportunities, great client work, and connections with fantastic people.

I gathered my thoughts on what made me fast as a designer over the last 14 years.
This is part of the ebook that I'll release sometime in the future.
Quite a long thread ahead:
Read now or bookmark it for later.
One doesn’t really need to have 14 years of experience to earn good money as a designer.
I suck at sales. In fact, I don’t sell at all, well, at least on purpose. My work and experience that I’ve had help me a lot, if I wouldn’t have that - I’d go broke. That’s how much I suck
