Last week I did 2,600km with the Axela across Uganda. From Nairobi to Busia to Fort Portal to Mpondwe (DRC) to Kabale, and back home.
Took one week 🔥. Consumption was 14.3km/l for the whole journey.

At 1:11am while driving to Nairobi, this group came out of nowhere (Nyamasaria area past Mega City) throwing stones. They also cut the front tyre.
Instinct was to speed up. Had to drive for a while on a flat. The window glasses didn't break, though the side mirror is gone.

Switch off VPN and enjoy no ads. On Android phones you can enjoy YouTube Music Premium too.

Major issue throughout the road was once I was back in Kenya Sunday night. Police had a roadblock with spikes at an unexpected corner at night. So I lost two tyres 😭.
Oh and at the Mwanza Ferry crossing, some people wanted 3 Million TSH because I took photos and videos 😂😂.

Roads are good. Downloaded offline Maps for most parts of the journey.
Only issue is some parts before Mwanza. And some parts before Rusumo border.
Doable with any car to be honest.
Rwanda roads are perfect. West Uganda roads are good with small parts having potholes.
