The criminal cases review commission reporting on the Lucy Letby case suggested that there is more than just murder. One of the factors was systemic factors. Does that allude that the NHS system was at fault ? Are the powers that be once again protecting the system?

So they did something wrong. But better to reprieve them of wrong doing than find better ways to help working people by other means e.g. reduce the tax burden on them and reduce big government.

@DanielPriestley British culture won't accept 2 or 3. Low tax or Americanised healthcare are two things not within British culture to accept. 1 is very hard. This sounds more difficult than rock, hard place and a wall.

@DanielPriestley The world has hugely changed. It is more connected, amalgamated and global. the question to ask is: if we were to start again now, would we still select this form of governance that was created for the world from a century ago ?

@MatthewStadlen No idea about left or right but why is raising tax the only answer? What if there was a solution to grow to a level that brought in more tax receipts? Would that work ?
