I'm an average guy, not smart at all. I had to solve over 4000+ DSA problems to barely cross expert on cf. Any other person would've at least become CM or M. I got no luck, it's pure hard work. Amount of energy and time I've spent learning DSA is unimaginable.

- Was winning till 10th
- Life struck hard after 11th, prepared for NEET for 1 year, left biology and choose math in 12th
- Mental health at worst, anxiety, depression, somehow got NIT
- Failed at everything I tried for 3 years
- Redeemed myself in final year
I am 44.
- Didn't take career/life seriously until ~30-33
- Failed(or learned things the hard way) multiple times
- Still figuring out what to do next.
It's ok. Very few people have their life sorted out.
Try consistently, seek feedback, improvise, repeat - at your own pace.

How irrelevant is JEE percentile after joining college?
With a 99.63 percentile and 4449 AIR, I ended up with a 6.36 CGPA in the first semester. JEE rank doesn't always reflect academic performance. And in first year my batch had students from all branches.

During placement season there were few companies who rejected me. I felt so sad, and depressing even though I tried my best. Now when I look back, those companies had lot lesser pay and shitty work life balance than company I'm in right now. God surely has better plans for you.
