This is a perfect example. You and I have fundamental disagreements regarding epistemology, as evidenced by your belief in Christ (presumably as the savior) and my lack of belief in this. How you come to know the truth is inherently at odds with much of the epistemology I subscribe to, yet there is an entire background and history of how truth operates from a theological background. How on earth are we supposed to ever agree on what information is the truth when we have fundamental disagreements on what truth even means? That is what is happening en masse across the world. Both sides are just fighting harder and harder for their "Truth" that it's leading to worse outcomes for all. If we instead focused on finding consensus, which often means compromise, we are much more productive in acting on the things that matter to us all and lead to improved outcomes for everyone. That's her whole point. She's not actually trying to divide anyone. She could happily pander to the left for her entire career but she is trying to engage with the right, which you cannot do if you stick to your subjective notion of truth. She's willing to accept compromise to foster productive alliance but she's being maligned as someone intentionally trying to corrupt and separate. That is the real distortion taking place - comments like Musks and others who are only revealing a tiny clip as context and judging the entire effort off of that.
