On Monday I visited Denny High School to present Corri McGougan with the Paul Canavan Memorial Cup, named after my son, who died in Strathcarron Hospice in 1989 at age of 16. The Cup goes to first runner aged 16 or under to finish the annual Strathcarron 10k. Well done,Corri !

I strongly recommend this event to mark the 40th anniversary of the historic struggle of the miners and their families during the !984-85 strike. Hope to see you there.
