I am proud of my wonderful, amazing sons. They are kind, creative, and caring young men. May happiness and good health be their constant companions.

RT @peta: So glad to see vegetarian legend Sir @PaulMcCartney in the #SBLIX audience! Love that he knows the difference—football is a sport…

The more I watch heartwarming videos about humans respecting and loving animals, the more I feel that it is absolutely imperative that 1) young parents teach their children, and 2) in general, people teach our youth this same, significant respect and love for animals. In doing so, children—throughout their lives— would become more empathetic, kind, and caring human beings—with regard to BOTH animals AND to people... ESSENTIALLY, THEY WOULD RESPECT LIFE. 🌹

Am I among the minority of people in America who believe that sending college students abroad [alone, essentially] actually isn’t such a good idea? While American colleges’ and universities’ recruitment programs are so busy boasting about their course offerings and their cities’ location benefits, thousands upon thousands of college students are being shipped-away [to points worldwide] during their junior years. I’d like to know how many parents hadn’t truly been on board with this idea…

Two days have passed since the devastating [American Airlines] plane and [Black Hawk] helicopter crash... It will soon be a week; then, additional weeks will pass—then months and years… Grief is painful and everlasting. For each friend and family member of every deceased [yet, very much beloved] human being, the void will be permanent. Allow mourners time to grieve in peace—and please know that weeks, months, years, and even decades—never resolve their excruciating pain of their losses. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the friends and families of these lost souls. May their memories be for many blessings… Speak their names often, and you will feel their presences. You will be comforted by the guidance that you feel them bring to you in your hearts. Amen.

@PETA MAKE THE HORRIBLE ANIMAL ABUSE STOP. In addition, please, @PETA, STOP PUBLISHING these abusive images, because you are essentially desensitizing those [who already have been conditioned to think nothing about life and who would readily hurt animals (and people, too!) with no conscience] to these terrifying, murderous, violent acts.

@peta PETA needs to expedite the BAN of the utilization of HORSES—IN TRAFFIC— on our 21st century [!!] cities’ streets. This is extremely dangerous for BOTH the horses AND the people! Not only are horses—and horse-carriage combinations—on city streets terrible ideas, but people also need to realize that their safety [as passengers] is entirely dependent upon the safety of the horses! #BanHorsesOnCityStreets

@hwinkler4real I loved your performance in, “Heroes”. Despite your familiar appearance, you were entirely believable in your role as the post-traumatic stress-plagued war veteran named Jack. Incidentally, there is a serious discrepancy between the respect we reserve for our soldiers at war versus that for our post-war heroes back home in America.

Until valid video-documentation surfaces [with proof that the 1969 lunar module had been launched—*in the absence of a rocket or even rocket-boosters*—from the moon, in order to begin its journey back to Earth], I believe that my observations [regarding this apparent deception of the people of the United States of America] are vindicated.

@peta @HumaneSociety @ASPCA @SaveCoyotesNow THIS is why police departments’ “Animal Control” officers shouldn’t be allowed to respond to situations like this. They haven’t any regard for the safety of the animals! ALSO, angering the coyote, here, [via the officer’s abuse] would only increase the danger to the shoppers in the supermarket! Furthermore, animal control departments’ “noose poles” should be confiscated—and banned— for the same reason… worldwide! #Let’sChangeControlToSupport AND #Let’sSupportAnimalsNotAbuseThem

@neurodocSudhir Are there any known [new] cases of encephalitis lethargica today [since the awakenings of 1969]? If so, have they, too, been treated with L-Dopa? Is the cause of this disease [and Parkinson’s] known, and/or could the symptoms [of both] be [in part] autoimmune responses to one or more environmental chemical[s]? Do these patients share any demographics and/or ancestry? In addition, would it be possible to vary the dosage-technique, when administering L-Dopa, which could somehow 1) create a [biochemical] re-uptake, in order to prevent the drug from “wearing off”—thus, extending the drug’s period of efficacy—and 2) minimize the drug’s debilitating side-effects? @OliverSacks

One of my theories [in fact, I have formulated many theories] is that “mental illness” doesn’t exist in a vacuum: “mental health” is, in effect, an extension of our physiology. As a result, our behaviors [both positive and negative] are direct reactions to the corresponding stimuli [including chemicals] in our environment.
