Terrific podcast series. Worth a listen... and then Blood On The Tracks offers a deep dive into the historic 74-75 tour.
Fifty years ago today Mike Denness gained some lost respect by scoring 188 in the 6th Ashes Test at the MCG - the highest score by an England captain in Australia. Special podcast series on the brutal 1974/75 Ashes here -

#SuperBowlLIX Opening Night today. After 31 Super Bowls, this is the week when I miss being at the NFL, especially as it's back in New Orleans, where I went to my first in 1990. Good luck @neilreynoldsnfl @nflukhank @WillGav @JasonBell33 @simoncrosse @Phoebe_Schecter & others!

UEFA, as we know, gets an awful lot wrong, but the new Champions League format has been fantastic in my view. Not much comes close to the drama of the NFL's Red Zone but @tntsports' Goals Show should be a compelling couple of hours tonight.

Many thanks, Steve
@AnnieChave @FairfieldBooks_ @David_Tossell Very enjoyable ( as was book on WI tour ). Good to go behind the scenes/ scorecards. Shambolic England management; seems a world away from today ( except really top class fast bowlers can win games, Tommo/Lillee to Bumrah)

I really don't read too many books but just finished this one by @David_Tossell. What a fantastic read that was, so highly recommended to any #Arsenal fan out there. SEVENTY-ONE GUNS - The Year Of The First Arsenal Double.

Ridiculous call against the Texans. Are quarterbacks just allowed to run anywhere they like now without fear of being tackled? #nflplayoffs2025

Truly, one of the most remarkable career stories in football. Didn't play League football until age 29 and then ends up lifting League Championship, FA Cup, League Cup and European trophy as captain. And a lovely man who was a very gracious interviewee.
It is with huge sadness and the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of former Manchester City captain and manager Tony Book, aged 90. A true Club legend in every sense of the word, Tony made 315 appearances for City in total between 1966 and 1974, scoring five goals. 🩵

Did Herbert Chapman spend years pushing for numbers on shirts so that Arsenal could place white figures on white shirts? 😳 #EmiratesFACup
