DVD commentaries and special features were a golden age for film trivia nerds, and the streaming era should have helped that flourish instead of eradicating it entirely.
Okay I know it’s after 1am and this is a super-long image of a Reddit post, but the comment that immediately follows it at the bottom is a goddamn bloody masterpiece
This is a sad sight.

launched last week, and has been panned for glitches, bugs and unplayable gameplay.
Now someone has found a secret room, only accessible through hacks, that suggests the developers were overworked and the game got too ambitious for its own good.
Bet San Marino are well chuffed to be included on this list.
Imagine having a population that could fit into Wembley Stadium three times over, and the biggest country in the world considers you a threat.
The Russian government has approved a list of countries unhelpful to Russia. They include:

- Taiwan
- San Marino
- Singapore

- Switzerland
- Ukraine

So yeah, that happened. 😅
No matter the outcome, doing

marked a big step for me. As someone who’s battled with issues of self-confidence, self-image, and self-esteem, having the courage to do a TV show was something I could never have imagined ever five years ago.
@Rainmaker1973
Sorry Massimo, but this photo is from the big heatwave of last summer, hence why so much of the land is scorched and brown. Normally England is as green as Ireland.
I know it shouldn’t be, but even as an objective viewer – the combination of the coffin disappearing into the floor, the bagpiper walking away, Kirsty Young’s voice breaking in her closing monologue, and (as ever) the final BBC montage… my god, that was deeply moving.
Kyrgios complaining about a specific spectator.
"She's drunk out of her mind in the first row, talking to me in the middle of the game... The one with the dress, the one who looks like she's had about 700 drinks, bro!"
That's no way to talk about the Duchess of Cambridge, Nick.
Every time I read this fact it still blows my mind:
Both the UK and US versions of Dennis the Menace, created completely independently by different people who had no knowledge of the other, both debuted on the same day – 12th March 1951.
@Alpharad
Here in the UK we’re about to have our two hottest days in recorded history and there are still people going “that’s not hot, THIS is hot” from countries with no humidity and AC everywhere
I still remember when Colourblind went to number one in 2002 – he was interviewed and said:
“My dream was to have a number one single by the time I was 35. Well I’m 21, so that’s fourteen years ahead of schedule!”
#Darius
Holy shit, Darius Danesh died! I always liked him. Never forget he went on national TV and said he was going to be a multi-platinum selling artist before he was 35, became a laughing stock and then went and FUCKING DID IT.
@JonComms
Sure sex is cool but have you ever switched off a Gamecube, opened the tray while the disc is still spinning, and put your finger on the central button to slow it down
One of the best

episodes ever tonight. I love when something happens that sends everyone into tears of laughter, and they stop being professional comedians on a panel show and become just a bunch of mates having a laugh at work.
Oh, and stay for the post-credits scene.
@qikipedia
From the TV show: that slavery was only made illegal in England in April 2010. (Any fact that makes the audience audibly gasp.)
From the Twitter account: that the Finnish version of “grammar Nazi” translates as “comma fucker”.
“I woke last night to the sound of thunder,
How far off I sat and wondered.
Started humming a song from 1962…
Ain’t it funny how the night moves,
When you just don’t seem to have as much to lose,
Strange how the night moves…
With autumn closing in.” ❤️
I think we need a special shoutout to

Was 100% not expecting this, after they’ve used the same anniversary logo for the past two decades. Showing they’re serious about the celebration.
Yeah, this blows the

logo out of the water.
Would 100% watch a series of Victoria and Alan solving Zodiac Killer-style mysteries together.
With Victoria as the Sherlock Holmes figure who does everything and Alan as the tagalong partner dressed as Charlie Chaplin.

During a big concert at school, our trombone player got the end of his instrument wedged into the chair in front of him, so had to play the rest of that song by moving *himself* forward and back to play the correct notes.
He nailed it. The rest of us watching him, not so much.

had to come up with answers for the category “things that contain bones” and wrote down “The Starship Enterprise”.
I support this in principle, as long as it's properly regulated to prevent people from doing increasingly dangerous and risky stunts in the hope of winning an Oscar.

Hope Andy Murray’s got Emma Raducanu’s number. She’s going to need all of his career advice about how to weather the monstrous rabid hyenas that are the British tabloids.

for a tennis eye like almost no other, spotting the greatness of Alcaraz back in 2017 when Carlos was just thirteen years old.
This is worth a listen.
#USOpen
Matt discovered Carlos Alcaraz when he was 13.
(Alcaraz, not Matt. Although
@MattRobertsTTP
wasn’t much older).
Re-live what we said about Alcaraz on the pod two years ago. Full story on our Instagram
What a comeback; they came so close to taking the lead twice!!

I still can’t believe “comptroller” is a real word. I swear someone just misspelled ‘controller’ 200 years ago and everyone ran with it.
…except that is exactly what happened. Holy shit
Reports of an older man with a guitar on the run from the Scranton Police Department. Last seen in London, telling funny stories, playing wonderful music, and generally being an all-round legend.

Rowan Atkinson’s performance at the Olympics was comic perfection. To be that funny on your own in front of an audience of billions and absolutely nail it - he’s a superhero.

Horrible. 12-12 was an excellent compromise after Anderson-Isner, and I’m annoyed they’re shelving it after such a short time.
Meanwhile women are still playing best of 3. It’s like they’re trying as hard as they can to stop epics from happening.
Ahhhh the story of the McCulloughs on

is an absolute fairytale. Failing task after task every week until today, when they win three tasks in one day and win the episode. I actually cheered in my living room. 😄
So is it time I acknowledge that my silly not-that-original chess joke went a bit viral? I’m glad so many of you liked it.
And hello new followers! I usually tweet about trivia, games, comedy, tennis, and lots of terrible, horrible, no good, very bad puns. You’re very welcome.
Favourite quiz question of tonight:
“Assuming the wives take their husbands’ surname, name all the Harry Potter characters to have had the surname ‘Weasley’. There are 23 in total.”
Fun fact of the day: Andre Agassi used to be able to read Boris Becker’s serve every single time because of where Boris pointed his tongue, like a poker tell.
Boris had no idea he did this until many years later. “It’s like he’s reading my mind!”
Really woken up by this comment from the
@TennisPodcast
US Open review show last week:
“In 50 years, kids will read about this tournament and players/spectators collapsing in the heat, and how those same people then unified to boo climate change protesters disrupting the play.”
I know she’s only 18 and we shouldn’t overhype her too much, but my god Emma Raducanu feels like a household name in the making. She’s SO good.

Why the hell would they pick the Johnny English sequel when the first film revolves around the villain plotting to get himself crowned King in an actual British coronation ceremony.
Would have been such a baller move from Channel 4.
BRITISH TV THIS SATURDAY.
BBC One: The Coronation of The King
BBC Two: The Coronation of The King
ITV: King Charles III: The Coronation
Channel 4: Johnny English Strikes Again
Think I’ve found my new favourite trivia question.

inventing an imaginary friend who quietly leaves him.
And if you're wondering if something else popped into my head when Victoria asked "can you give me an example of something with one cup", ...yes, yes it did.
And it took every fibre of my being not to say it.

Bloody hell, both major European finals are all-English.
Between this, and the World Cup semi finals for the men and the women...are England good at football again? 👀

Favourite thing I learned today:
Bonnie Bedelia, who played John McClane’s wife Holly in Die Hard, was born Bonnie Bedelia Culkin. She is the aunt of Macaulay and Kieran Culkin.
What an amazing bit of Christmas movie crossover trivia.
For anyone trying to play Goldeneye on the Nintendo Switch this weekend, here’s a great bit of Reddit advice if you have issues with the archaic single-stick control scheme.

Most astonishing thing I’ve learned so far from

: because Germany was still a relatively new country, their soldiers often hated each other more than the British. The Saxons would send the Brits messages going “Prussians are on duty next, give them hell”.

When Joker and PT are on the same team, changing between Pokemon would do something to Joker's meter (fill it up IIRC?)
Axl Rose and Guns N' Roses there, doing Slither by Velvet Revolver, a cover of a song by the band formed by the rest of GNR after they left GNR because Axl became too much of an ass.
A unique occurence in music?
