(1/3) I noticed I lost a few followers because of my objections about the Trump administration's treatment of Canada and the worrisome foreign policy it has adopted. While I respect the decision of those who unfollowed me, I wont apologize for my past comments.

Every country in this world needs a counterweight to even things out and to prevent one nation from crushing others because of blind ambition, sheer madness, vulgar greed or...in the case of President Trump...all of the above.

Maybe it's a good thing Trump said that. Canada has never been more unified since we have a common threat to face. We're also talking about removing the trade barriers between provinces and planning on diversifying our trade portfolio. What does not kill is makes us stronger.

The guy is delusional. More than 75% of Canadians want to remain a part of Canada. Joining the USA means less freedom of expression and right of association, less social assistance for the disabled and low-income, and say goodbye to free provincial health care for all.

Each Tim Hortons is independently owned and operated. There are some good ones out there still, though they appear to be few and far between. The one at Weber and Northfield in Waterloo, Ontario is still pretty good. Since I moved out of that area, I miss it so. 🙁

Perhaps, but being threatened with annexation through tariffs brings out the ugly in anyone, and with perfectly good reason. We are dealing with an America that is taking It's Manifest Destiny to global heights and we are in its crosshairs.
